May 2015

May 2nd-9th As Sports- Me, DH, DS, DD, DD, DGS

This will be our 4th family trip to WDW. DD6 & DGS2 will have a blast together & I can't wait to experience everything through their eyes! 1st time booking room only, no dining plan,(see if it saves any?) & military tickets through my DD. We are also going to the water parks for the 1st time! May can't come soon enough!

I keep seeing crowd level charts showing the last week of May as "fairly crowded" or sometimes a 6-7 if they're using a 1-10 scale.

Anyone know what "fairly crowded" looks like?

I usually go in May and the crowd has always been acceptable.

Never waited more than 20-30 minutes for a ride

Checking in! We will be meeting our DS, DDIL, DGS, 8 and DGS 4 May 1-9 - staying the first night at ASM, and then moving to SSR 2 bdrm for the rest of the trip. They are in Oregon and we are in Texas, so our visits are few and far between! I have it mostly planned with Touring Plans but have spent the past couple of weeks getting planning done for my bosses wife - their trip is in April and it is almost time to book their ADRs. So now that I have them squared away with instructions in hand, it's time to finish planning ours!:woohoo: I'm anxiously watching all of the changes to FP+ as it evolves.

Our dates are overlapping. I will be there May 3 - 10 (maybe we can say hello).

Hi Kathy! I am excited we will be there the same time as you and Mark! We will definitely have to compare plans and see when we can meet up!!! :dogdance:

Mark won't be there (I'll be with Nicki and Todd) but we will figure something out)
I'll have to send you our itinerary and see what matches up. Disappointed Mark won't be there, but we'll make the best of it. :D

Our family - me, dh, ds 13, dd 10 and dd 6 are very excited for our third trip May 3-9!! We are staying at POR, a first for us. I lost my mom 4 weeks ago today so this trip is much needed.

Checking in! We're going to try CBR for the first time. Staying there from 5/17 - 5/31. 89 days and counting! :jumping1:

Staying AKL from May 12th - 19th! Celebrating my belated 21st birthday with my boyfriend!

we are going May 16 - 23. I cannot wait!!
We'll be staying at the Beach Club :cool1::cool1::cool1:

I would love to get your opinion of the deluxe rooms at Beach Club after your trip. We are checking in May 30th but staying on the 5th floor. The deluxe rooms were sold out, but I have been wondering if it's a pain to take the elevator every time you want to go to the lounge anyway. We stay in deluxe rooms at GF main building, but they have a stairway that connects the 3-5 floors which are all club level.

I will be headed to AOA May 3-8 with my DS4, mom, cousin and an aunt and cousin who have never been to Disney! I can't wait!

I am P-U-M-P-E-D....just 52 days to go until out May 9-16th trip! Today is just one of those days I'm so excited I can't stand it :yay:

We're staying at POFQ for the 2nd year in a row and I can't wait to go back.

I'll be traveling with my DH and the plan is for my Dad, SM and SB (FL resident season pass holders) to meet up with us for our first weekend there for a quick visit.

For the days they're there, we'll be spending the entire first day after we arrive at noon at MK (which has EMH 12-2AM!) and Sunday at AK (our 2nd fav park, they have AM EMH that day) where we have lunch at Y&Y followed by dinner in EPCOT at San Angel.

The rest of the week we'll be on our own, which is nice for us since we  my fam, but they're a little much to handle sometimes..but whose isn't???

I'm getting super excited for our May 20-24 trip! In just 21 days my DH and I are going to be enjoying our grown ups only trip! (We have 3 children. Don't worry they're not Disney deprived) is anyone else planning on attending this years' 24 hour event? We are trying to figure out how to plan our day. The crowd calendars show high crowd column but high enough to close the park? Should we be worried about leaving for a little while?

Hey there! We are arriving on May 19th and my DD (17) and I are doing the 24 hour event! This is our second time and we love it! So the key is to be there in the morning for the kick off to the party..You will have the park to yourself till after 9am and then it will start getting a bit more crowded as the day goes on... We usually leave by noon and head back to the resort to swim and nap.....
Evening is when it gets a bit crazy especially around WISHES!:crazy2: OMG it is grid lock! Stay away from Mainstreet USA... It stays pretty busy till around 2am and then it thins a bit, but still a lot of people around for that time of the morning.

We are doing dinner at BOG this time at 8:30 and avoiding the whole Wishes crowd.:p

You can do this! Just know it will be crowded and make your way through....It is super fun!:yay:

We can't wait!!!!
