Halloween horror nights

But...you won't have express pass? I wouldn't go without at least one night of an express pass. Just saying....

They'll be fine.

We did everything over two nights in 2013 without EP........we only did that as our friend who was local didn't have it and we wanted to be with him as we would only see him those nights.

Wouldn't do it again though for us we love having EP.......but it is doable without.

We go almost every year and never had express pass but we do take advantage of APH nights and stay and scream.

We also go for multiple nights so no need to do everything ...just hit our favs after we visit the first few nights.

Can't wait to see what's in store for HHN 25.

Rumours on other sites are not filling me with happiness so far.

Think they did Halloween a year too early.

I do like Insidious though........that should be good.

Yeah, that's true. If I go for several nights, I will see everything and go on rides. Good point! But...I also do not like to wait in long lines in sweltering heat! A couple of years ago it was just awful....I was grateful for express pass. It's all about perspective I suppose.

Get express pass for Halloween party. Just think of it as the cost of the ticket.

Then when your using the express passes all night long you can feel sorry for the people in the massive lines.

To me express passes are not a opition its a must to enjoy your time.

Ok guys - I need all the advice you can give me.

We usually hit WDW at least 2x a year. Haven't been to Universal since... well, 1998. Sad but true. We're going to HHN for the first time this year, post cruise. We'd like to spend the day at Studios and then do HHN. How does that work? We only have one day to hit it, 9/19. Help.

I see we most certainly need express passes? Please help. I'd like to do all I can. TIA :wave2:

you can buy the add on ticket/stay and scream, by showing you have a day ticket.

hhn ticket is cheaper then.

you can buy the day ticket anytime (but buy your hhn ticket from guest services or one of the stores in the park. just show proof you have the day park ticket for the discounted hhn tix)

if you buy your one day ticket at the uo website, you can purchase the hhn tix at the same time to get that discount

express pass purchases will be available when the hhn goes live.

if you have the day ticket for the date you are doing hhn, don't leave the park when it closes.
go to one of the holding areas, Stay n Scream and show your hhn ticket.
it will be scanned and you can stay in that holding area until the park opens for hhn.
you will have a head start for a few of the houses that way.

So, I guess after reading more about the different options we're going to go with the RIP tour. If it's available on that night anyway. I'm just going to keep checking and buy our tickets as soon as they become available.

Did anyone use this tour for last year?

Thanks for the info! I can't wait. I'm really excited. :yay:

Is the HHN merchandise only available to buy during the nights of HHN or can you buy it during non party days in the park during the time they have HHN ? Meaning, is merch out all the time during Oct ? Thanks.

yes, you can buy hhn merch during the day and non party days.

i always buy mine then so i don't have to lug it with me during the hhn event in the evening.

if you stay on site, you can have your purchases sent to your hotel room but those merch lines for check out can be long during hhn nights.
or you can have your merch you buy sent to the front of the park to be held until you leave.
again, the lines for this pick up can be lengthy......

been there, done that...

We did our first HHN night last year...Aiming for another trip in early October.....
Question: HHN X-pervs....errr...X-PERTS.
....since the schedule apparently won't be out for a little while, do they do it on Sunday and/or Monday nights?

you came to the right place homie......

yes, hhn on sunday
no hhn on monday.

list is out for the dates.
hours are not.
no hhn on mondays and tuesdays.
all other days of the week will have hhn.

dates for end weekend of sept and all of october is when hhn will be happening.

this is the first year i have seen all the wednesdays be included for the event.
past years wednesdays weren't added until mid october.

Try to book your tour as soon as you can because that first weekend is usually off limits or very limited due to other stuff going on during the first weekend of the event.

When do people anticipate the hours will be released for October. This is putting a crimp in my Type-A scheduling plans :teeth:

no hhn on mondays and tuesdays.
those are the only days in october that will be different than the other days in that month.

studios closes at 5 pm on hhn dates.

ioa could close at 7 most nights, maybe 8 pm as a possibility.
wouldn't count much later than that for them staying open on hhn nights.

Thank you! Im a total fraidy cat sonIm going Tuesday and avoiding HHN like the plague! Haha

Hello all!

I'm reading the boards and looking at other sites trying to determine pricing, ticket options, etc.

A few of us are planning on going to HHN when we visit in October (more specifically - Friday night, October 2nd, it's either that or the 3rd, and I think Friday might be a tad less busy?). I realize that tickets have not gone on sale yet, so I'm just looking for some general feedback. I also realize that I'm just throwing pricing out there (as I know it will be different and I didn't bother to write down the 2014 pricing I saw on a different site).

There are 6 of us on the trip, however, only 3 or 4 of us will probably go to HHN. None of us have been to HHN before.

I have an AP (non-Florida resident) so it's my understanding that I can order everyone a ticket?

From what I've been reading, an express pass is a good idea for Friday nights (unless since it's so early in the "season", you don't think we'll need it?).

HHN ticket should be about $50-60 with AP? Express pass should be about $80++?
HHN with express should be about $140-160?

Looking at the non-private RIP tour, might that be better / more fun? Last year it was about $110 plus a ticket. So the tour, with a tour and faster access to the houses should be about $180-200?

Quite frankly, all the different options regarding tickets, express passes, tours, etc., are confusing me. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you!
