We're finally getting some details on the Tokyo Disneyland Expansion. It turns out it won't be a "FrozenLand," it will be Scandinavia themed...just with Frozen in it.

Looking at the concept art... Why are trying to spin this as anything but Arendelle? Still it looks like it should be an awesome area.

Besides that the concept art looks great for NF. We have Beauty and the Beast and Alice in Wonderland confirmed.

All these exciting things are coming sometime after 2017. I highly suggest you check out the document.

There have been numerous discussion on whether it's worth it or not. There have also been numerous rumors that it's not going to come back the next year. I think disney wants to get rid of it and that why they increase the minimums you need.

I wouldn't say it's necessarily a scam because some people do get a deal out of it but I don't think it's such a great deal like people think.

I'm not an advocate of the dining plan at all. I would NEVER pay for it. But the free dining does seem to be the better deal if you are staying at a value resort and possibly a moderate as well. 20% off a $150 room at Pop is only 30 dollars a night. If you've got at least 2 people in your room, that's 15 dollars per person. You easily get 15 dollars per person per day off the dining plan. Now put 4 people in a room at a moderate and it will look much the same.

correct me if im wrong..you don't get the regular dining plan with the value you get the quick service dining plan...you only get regular DDP with moderate and up

the idea that people are willing to pay 150.00 for a value room is mind blowing to me..

Correct you only get the quick service plan if staying at a value. Many people end up paying to upgrade.

Just to add to this, the fantasyland expansion in Tokyo includes multiple new attractions, it's a small world being moved to a new location, and then the new Scandinavian port will include a big frozen e ticket.

While I generally concur, I would guess that this is a deal for those who vacation at Disney the week of Christmas. I imagine that that week is not typically offered room discounts. Although, I'll admit I don't track the discounts offered during that time so I could be wrong.

I was using 150 as an extreme. I think it only gets that high during peak seasons. You can find it for 100 at other times of the year. And yes, you get the quick service plan. But still, 2 meals a day plus a snack is worth a lot more than 15 dollars.

The plans for Tokyo look great. And they DO need a big expansion. I've never seen a theme park as packed as Tokyo DL. Peak season over there looks like New Years Eve at Magic Kingdom.
