Will the Speedway be gone by the time the marathon comes around? I know its closing over the summer, just curious when they are removing it and if/how it will affect the marathon route.

I just tried prancercising in my living room. It's not that easy. Maybe I need to be wearing tighter leggings?

Did anyone register through the runDisney page (not the backdoor link) and end up in a waiting queue? Just curious what the wait times looked like this time around on that!

after I got all mine done I went back to try through the Disney page and didn't encounter the queue so not sure how bad it was to start off with

I was on the runDisney registration page and was able to get it to refresh as the registration links were added and it pointed to the same URL as the backdoor URL (at least for the Marathon only registration link).....there was no wait. Of course i hit it right at 11.

I kept all my options open and had the backdoor link up and was refreshing runDisney (paranoia after last night's early registration issues). The links came up on runDisney at about 11:50 and led me to have two identical pages up after I clicked the link for the Dopey Challenge but the active.com link didn't work until shortly after noon. Kept checking both links until one of them finally opened. Not sure which one it was and never had to wait in a queue. My sister got a queue and it told her 50 people were in front of her, but not sure what the wait times said; I know from her texts that she didn't wait longer than 2 minutes.

I think it will be. I'll be curious to see the course changes as well...assuming it actually will be gone by then.

Probably so. You'll decrease your wind resistance that way!

Also - check the height of your hair. If it's not big enough, that could be your problem.

I went on at about 11:10 to check for my brother getting in through RunDisney and was put in the queue for I think 15 minutes saying 100 people were ahead of me. I was already registered via AP, but he wasn't.

I was on the run Disney site, it led to me active at 11:50 as well... then refreshed until 12:01 and was straight on the reg page. When I asked my husband to check his email for a confirm, he got a 22 min queue message on the site He got that message right about 12:16

Also, the prancercizing totally explains why I liked the jacket. That's the only way I prep for these races.

A while after we registered my husband went back to see what the wait time was. At 11:30 CST it was 21 minutes.

I had the queue for 5K. Paused a few minutes after registering 2 people. By the time I went back to register little kids, there was no queue. My queue wait said 15 minutes and took 15.

I suspect that once the 10K and 5K filled up, access got a bit easier.

You're right about the lottery, but with all the creative minds at Disney hopefully they can figure-out something!
