Magic Bands Lost in Mail!

I would call Disney asap and see what they can do. It didn't take that long for my bands to go from in the process to shipped and to my door. Maybe they could make them up and have them shipped to the resort so you could get the colored ones.

I hope you get the issue sorted out!

We received the wrong bands in the mail today after ours had appeared to get lost in transit. I just called Disney and they indicated that they would deactivate the old ones and would re-issue ours. We should get them in about a week. I am sure if you call Disney they can can correct it right away. They put it in their system as "lost/damaged". It seemed routine, must happen often.

We got our bands in four days after the "final day to choose" . One to process, one to ship, one is shipped and then they showed up today. They did come regular mail from Memphis TN and we are in Atlanta so delivery was quick. So excited now. :)

Our bands didn't come in the regular mail, but by Fedex or UPS one. This was last November so they may have changed it but check outside to see if they were left by another door.

Ii understand these bands are something you wanted to hold on to but what would you have done had they gotten lost in the park?

I also can relate to the OP. Living in an apartment complex can be nerve wracking when it comes to receiving our packages. When it came time to ship out MagicBands, I opted to have them sent to my mom's house. I made sure to let her know they were going to be sent over there. It went without a problem. We got our MagicBands and went on our trip. Then, on our second day at the parks, MK to be exact, DH was grabbing some change out of his pocket to throw into the water at "It's a Small World" and "splash" goes his MagicBand! I was sooo upset. I had to count to 10. LOL! I notified the CM on duty and she said they couldn't retrieve it right then, to check with lost and found at the end of the day. Thankfully, they still let DH ride SDMT when it was time to use our FP+ and he didn't have his band. At the end of the day, we waited in line forever at the guest relations place (one plus from waiting so long was that we got to experience the "Kiss Goodnight"), but unfortunately the MagicBand had not been turned in. They gave us the Lost and Found contact information and replaced DH orange MagicBand with a gray one. It took less than two minutes (after the waiting in line) to get this sorted. I just had to "let it go", keep my calm, be thankful the issue was able to be fixed so quickly, and enjoy the rest of our trip. I didn't give up hope that Lost and Found would get DH's band, so I called a week after our trip, but no luck. :( The CM said he was doubtful items from the water are ever retrieved, hence the astounding coin collection down there. On the positive side, apart from some change, we left a tiny bit of "us" there at the Magic Kimgdom! ;)

Sorry about the long post, but I wanted to share our experience. :)

My bands were lost in the mail also, I called Disney and they will have customized bands with our names on them waiting at the hotel for us upon arrival. 3 days after that the bands arrived on my doorstep. WIN WIN for us:cool1:

Im glad everyone thinks my issue with our magic bands is so trivial. Sorry, but it's a concern with us. If anything, we wanted the bands we ordered just as keepsakes for after the trip. Its not too much to ask to want something we are entitled to, and followed the process to receive.

I never said I would cancel the trip. I said we would switch to offsite.

Just because something isn't important to you doesn't mean its not to aomeone else.

The first thing that comes to mind when I read about your situation is the #1 rule that many people post on here.

Your plans will not work out as you have planned. Something will happen. If you are going to be upset every time an event occurs that requires deviation from the plan, you are going to be miserable and stressed the whole time you are there...no matter what color your bands might be. I don't say this to trivialize the importance you have placed on the specific bands you have picked. If I don't get my green band this Monday for my trip in November, I am going to experience some momentary stress too. With that said, a Disney plan needs to be more of a rough outline of events, leaving wiggle room for the dynamic environment that is Disney World. Give Disney a call and it will all get worked out...don't be frantic and rude (not that I think you are rude)...relax...take a deep breath and calmly explain what has happened. They will take care of it and you might just end up with some good coming out of it.

Good Luck.

Call WDW and tell them your problem
Maybe they can deactivate the MB they sent you and recreate the ones you ordered and have them waiting fo you at the resort.

Just my thoughts ;)

Our magic bands were due to arrive today as per the tracking number that we were sent. The last status is that they were out for delivery.

Well, they did not arrive with our mail .

Our post office is a mess. They constantly bring us the wrong mail, and our packages are always brought to the wrong house! We've complained numerous times, and are always told they will "speak to the carrier."

So, we arrive on October 16th, and have no magic bands. The post office has no idea where they are.

Has this ever happened to anyone else?

I know the hotel has grey magic bands they can issue, but we don't want them!

We are arriving late, and don't want to be bothered with the whole process when I've already arranged everything online.

Also, this is our first time staying on property. We are staying on property to experience the magic bands. We were all very excited to get our own personalized bands.

Do you know if disney will send another set?

If not, I am thinking of cancelling my room reservation, and staying off site again.

This just happened to us yesterday. I saw on the USPS site that the package was out for delivery. I went out as I saw the mailman and they weren't there, so I checked this morning and the pkg shows delivered to my door yesterday. Post office said they'd call me back - I won't hold my breath. I'm on hold now with Disney - almost an hour. I hope they'll cancel them and we'll pick them up at check-in. I don't want them resent. Apparently, postal workers think they can be resold?

I don't know about lost bands. I'm providing my opinion on getting a colored band at the front desk. I think it was about two years ago I went to Disney for my birthday. I ordered a green band. It did not work properly. I was given a new green band. So now I own two green bands that I use when I visit Disney.

Disney ordered new ones for us, and they were waiting for us when we got there. They were the right color and personalized with our names. pixiedust:
After calling the Post Office, the box miraculously appeared in our mailbox. By then, Disney had already cancelled them. :rolleyes1
