The All Stars need a redo...

ASMO is our favorite resort still even after staying at almost all the moderates. AOA is not even on our radar. We have 6 going this year, and there is no way I would pay almost $400 per night for pull out/down double beds when I can get 2 moderate rooms with 4queen beds, 2 refrigerators, etc, for the same price. Better yet 2 value rooms, with 4double beds and 2 refrigerators and save hundreds. I will never understand why people pay for those "value suites" when you can go up to moderate and get two full rooms, but I guess everyone's different.

We have stayed at the Family Suites before, as connecting rooms are never guaranteed. So if you are going with 2 adults and 4 kids, there is a chance you would have to split up between 2 non connecting rooms. Which means putting an adult in each room.

Art of animation has taught us just because it's a value resort doesn't mean it has to be crappy looking.

Anyone I know me including have found thoughts of he all stars would like them to be bulldozed and have better quality themed value hotels?

From the outside I think the All Star resorts look very cute. However I really dislike the last room Re-do and think the furniture is hideous. I'd still stay at one if that was the best choice for a trip! No need to bulldoze!! AOA brings the outdoor building theming to the next level but the rooms look too cartoonish to me. Not sure I'd enjoy a suite for more than a couple days. We might try a little mermaid room sometime.

I am sorry you think the All Stars need to be bulldozed but I have to disagree with your opinion. I find them to be enjoyable, clean, friendly staff, and intimate. I wouldn't change a thing and I am sure if you disagree then I would encourage you to book else where like the AoA. I am not the type of visitor that stays in the room all day, watching TV, surfing the web, talking on my phone. I am at the parks or laying out by the pool. I do not need or require a "POSH" room. I am happy with what the All Stars have to offer as do many other visitors and the very idea of bulldozing these wonderful resorts is just plain ridiculous.

I am someone who has stayed at the ASMo 4 times now. I adore it to bits and pieces. I've stayed at Caribbean Beach and Pop, but I always go back to the ASMo. This past time (January) the resort looked a bit ragged, in need of some love. The rooms need upgrades, especially in the bathrooms. The food court is a big issue, ever since the mugs became complimentary with the dining plan. It was a disaster in the mornings, and was pretty messy. But, I would more than likely go back to the ASMo, given any updates.

Listen I love the value that it brings and I e stayed in one of each kind of Disney resort including all star movies!

I just think the decor and look of the resorts look sloppy and thrown together...That's my only problem. I love the fact that the value gives many families a chance to stay on property I'm just asking it to look a bit nicer... Can we come to some kind of agreement.

Also how DARE you poster throw that adorable 4 year old to mess with my argument! Cutest kid ever!

I honestly don't have any issues with how they look. When my kid were little, we loved the over-the-top themes and larger than life characters. It's Disney!!!

And the more renovations, updating, bulldozing that you do, the more the price is going to increase. Just like AoA. Yes, it may look great, but you're paying for it. Let's just leave well enough alone....

I dislike the décor of AoA and POP and would not like to see the Allstars bulldozed. Could they spruce it up, probably but that goes for any resort that is over 10 years old.

All the resorts need sprucing up from time to time. A deluxe resort doesn't always buy you a cleaner room.

If anyone touches the Broadway theming of All-Star Music (ESPECIALLY the big "Newsies" marquee), there's gonna be a big problem ;)

If it was up to me, I would bulldoze AoA. To me it looks as if someone on drugs decided to design a Disney resort. So I will agree that you can stay at AoA, and I will continue to stay at the All Stars when I am on a budget. Ok?

Wait....are you saying that's a bad thing? Sorry, old deadhead here. Couldn't help myself. Lol :jester:

To the OP: I think "bulldoze" is an awfully strong word to use for a resort that many people on these boards love. I could see maybe a refresh but not bulldoze!

The suites are not restful at all!
