Pardon my ignorance, but I am not finding answers on the Disney website.
What is the difference between the two.
Looking to rent a travel trailer for FW next spring.
Are there maximum sizes allowed in either site?
Thank you for your help.

Premium has more concrete pad over full. The locations are also different. 1600 thru 1900 are full ( all pet loops). 400 thru 1400 are premium. Full is cheaper and would work with a rental sized TT.

Copied from Allears.net A good site to check out the campground.

There are four categories of campsites at FW, premium, preferred, full-hookup, and partial.

The Premium Site
is billed as "big-rig" friendly. They accommodate RVs larger than 45 feet in length and those that have multiple slide outs. The sites are wider (up to 24 ft), and deeper (up to 60 ft) meaning they have a larger, level-paved pad. They also feature all of the amenities - water, power, sewer, cable, and access to the high-speed Internet, plus upgraded picnic tables and grills as well as prime locations.
To Disney, preferred sites means those that are located near the Settlement Trading Post, Pioneer Hall, Meadow and marina areas (meaning the preferred/in demand areas). Preferred Campsites include: water, power, sewer, cable. Internet Access is free. There will be a $125 deposit hold on credit card. Once kit is returned the hold will be released). Campsite sizes vary in length and width and some can accommodate equipment up to 10' X 60'.

Sites in loops 1600, 1700, 1800, and 1900 have been equipped with cable and Internet, but due to their location, will remain Full Hookup

Does this mean there are no full hook ups that do not allow pets? My daughter is terrified of dogs, so we are wanting to stay clear of the pet friendly loops, yet ho as inexpensive as possible. We were also thinking of setting up a small tent with the RV, and it looks like the premium sites have more concrete pad and not a sand spot for a tent. Is this true?
I called to book a campsite for January 2016, and all they had were premiums available. Is it possible that a less expensive option that will also accommodate a tent will open when they release packages for 2016?

Correct, there are not full hookup sites that don't allow pets. We were there this past weekend and drove every single loop and as the previous poster stated, there is def. not enough sand at a premium site to stake a tent down. We stayed in loop 1600 this past weekend and weren't bothered by any of the dogs at all. Everyone had their pets on a close leash and I very rarely heard any barking. My only suggestion would be to maybe suggest a very "secluded" spot that is surrounded by trees. It's going to be very hard for you to not run into any dogs at all no matter where you stay.

No loop is guarranteed to be pet free. Yes, there are pet friendly loops and this is where Disney tries to put all the campers who request pet sites, but sometimes they have to put them in normally pet free loops.

In my visits I have been in pet friendly loops and never had an issue with dogs.

Your next option would be preferred loops 100 or 200. They are not designated as pet loops. But, there is the possibility of a pup there.
