Parking Pass Question

Staying at a value resort and renting a car...
Will the parking pass work at the parks like they did when we stayed at the moderate resorts?

Yes. All guests staying at a WDW resort get free parking at the parks, no matter what level of resort.

FYI, they are doing away with the paper parking passes and now you will just scan your Magic Band.

Great.... and GREAT.
What if you are picking up a guest at another resort? Does your magic band get you into THEIR resort? or do you go to the gate and then considered ordinary day guest?

Hmm...not sure on that one. Depends which resort. If it's another value or even a moderate, your MB should get you in. If it's one of the Deluxes, there will be a guard there too most likely. Then you can just tell them you're there to pick someone up and they'll let you in.

pretty sure you are just like another day guest (i.e. you cannot park at the other resort all day) but there should be no problem with driving through to pick up someone to take to the parks.

MB gets you into YOUR resort's "returning guest" lane. For another resort you go to the guard gate line and show them ID or let them scan your band and tell them why you're there. No biggie.
