So happy my Hawks won! Looking forward to the Wild going the way of Nashville, but I know it won't be easy to get past Dubnyk. I am disappointed that the Caps eliminated the Islanders tonight. I'm happy Vancouver and St. Louis lost too...

Crow is in net to start.

I don't know what it is about Ovi that makes me dislike him. He's a great player and plays with an edge - usually my kind of guy (Chris Chelios is my all time favorite player), but something about him rubs me the wrong way.

Chris Chelios, hmm.. I could tell you a lot about him and his brother Steve who spent two years at my HS..

Yes, he was a great hockey player, definitely had an edge in ALL that he did..

I'm happy the caps to advance, Trotz is a good man and he's still very much respected around here. I'm also happy to hear Klein will be back for round 2 for the Rangers.

Oh I can only imagine the Cheli stories you could tell. I know he is/was a very naughty boy both on and off the ice. I met him a few times back in my single days and he was still playing.

Ok - my picks for the second round...keeping in mind I am picking with my heart, not my head. This is who I want to win...not necessarily who I think will win.

I want Calgary to beat Anaheim, Chicago over Minnesota, Montreal over Tampa/Detroit, and I honestly couldn't care less who wins in the Rangers and Caps series. I don't care for either team.

I'm not a fan of hockey, but regardless of the sport, I am a fan of any team that plays against a Boston team. :rotfl2:

For what it's worth though, I do like the city of Boston. Been there many times.

I'm going to miss the Blackhawks game tonight because DD has ho'ike rehearsal...I am *not* happy! I'm recording it though and I can at least follow the score online.

The Ducks sure spanked Calgary last night. I could only bear to watch until the score was 3-0 before I had to turn it off. HATE the Ducks.
