FAQ for renters?

Is there a FAQ forum/thread for renters? I haven't found one. I have questions like...

Does the reservation appear in our MDE account?

Will we get new MB's? Mailed like a normal ressie, or just upon arrival?

When can I book FP+ (I presume our MDE account only shows tickets we link and not a room, so it looks like we are off-site, so... do we only a 30 day window??)

I rented DVC points through David's. My reservation does show in MDE. I have received the magnet from Disney with the dates I may book ADR's (180 days) and FP+ (60days). I received an email from WDW reminding me of ADR booking at 180 days. I have not yet purchased tickets. I'm not sure if I will receive free Magic Bands after I purchase tickets. I hope this helps.

Thanks for the info. If we decide to go this route we'll be renting from a friend, not a company. It sure if it matters. But I would think it's basically the same. Thanks!

How or who makes the reservation for you makes no difference. You will need to manually link the reservation to your MDE account. Once the reservation is linked, there will be an pending order for MagicBands.

As far as making vacations plans (FP+, ADRs, etc), DVC reservations get the same benefits as rooms booked direct with Disney or a TA.

Remember, you can not get free dining with a DVC reservation and if you add the dining plan, the owner will have to do that for you and it will need to be paid for in full at the time you add it. Also the owner will need to be the one to arrange your ME. You will have your confirmation number for your reservation but you will have no access to anything regarding your reservation.
