If you "had" to leave out a park

AK. I like the park but don't love it, I especially think the layout is hard to navigate. We usually go there early, ride Everest and do the Safari, take a quick walk around and then leave by lunchtime to go to a different park. I love the Studios, personally. Can't put my finger on why exactly, I just like the atmosphere.

DHS. We can easily spend 8-9 hours at AK. While MK is my favorite park, AK might be the best themed. There are details everywhere. So much has been closed at DHS, it's hard for us to spend more than 4-5hours there.

Honestly, if I had HAD to leave out one park completely it would be Epcot. I don't feel like there is anything there that I HAVE to do. TT, Soarin' MS, and SE are all below multiple things at MK for me. And Tower of Terror and Everest are 2 of my 3 favorite rides in WDW.

Between the two you mentioned...it would be hard but I'd leave out AK. Tower of Terror is my favorite ride. And while I love the theme and overall feel of AK, it would be much easier for me to spend all day in DHS. It is also open later and had night time entertainment. I could probably spend all day in DHS just doing ToT, Star Tours, and Animation Academy over and over again. And throw in all the shows and RnR and TSMM once or twice.

Agree with this. There's not enough to do at DHS. A few awesome rides, but then nothing. At AK, at least, there's tons to look at and experience even after you've ridden the big rides. The ambiance is really nice.

I'd skip DHS. I usually spend two full days at AK, so DHS is "skippable" for me. I do like TSM, the Muppets, and One Man's Dream, but could skip the rest.

AK, on the other hand - between the shows, EE, Safari rides, animal trails . . . like I said, two full days!

I would park hop to Animal Kingdom and Hollywood Studios but if I HAD to skip one I think I would skip HS. I've never been to universal but I would think it would be similar to HS

Strangely surprised I agree with this! Despite the fact that we usually do 2 Epcot days on a trip and sometimes I can get bored of DHS if I haven't planned out show times well, DHS and AK each have one of my favorite rides in all of WDW (rockin roller coaster and expedition Everest). I love AK theming, shows and attractions but can finish it in 6-7 hours, where I need more than that in all other parks. BUT Epcot doesn't have any one single thing that I just can't stand to miss. I think I'd cut Epcot to 1 day before I skipped either DHS or AK.

Despite all the work being done at HS, I'd have to say AK. My trip just isn't complete without a visit to the Tower of Terror.

I was going to say "at the moment, I'd skip DHS" but, to be honest, I love AK a whole lot more than DHS, so I can't see that changing unless they do something incredible with DHS. For me, it's the most meh park!

I could have written this! AK is always the park we skip. We usually just go every other trip.

I would skip AK. It's okay. I'm just never excited when I'm there.
I still feel excited when I enter HS, even though there isn't a lot to love about it at the moment.

HS. We have actually only gone twice in 5 trips. The landscape/theming is less immersive. We are mostly a food and ride loving family, and find we prefer both at AK. I myself love shows, but am lucky to get the family to sit for 1 a trip. Plus, trying to work around show schedules is complicated wig kids, I find. I like HS, and we will fit it in when we have enough time for 2 days MK, 1-2 Epcot, and 1 day AK. Plus we would choose rest day over HS! So 7 days, yes, but I could totally see trying Universal instead of HS!

Epcot is our least favorite park. I would only do one day there and do a half day at AK. We love DHS mostly because of Star Tours. We all love it. My DS loves Jedi training, and my dd and DH love T of T and Rockin roller coaster . We love the feel of AK. My son could spend hours at the Dino dig area. It's really the park where we feel the most relaxed. Epcot just doesn't have enough that we love, except soarin and the Mexico ride.

I think every park has it's "IT" ride.

Now if I had to pick only one park to visit it would always be the Magic Kingdom.

It's so interesting to see everyone's opinions! I'd say DHS. In fact, the year we had AP's we did skip it on about 3 trips. We only went back because of Frozen Summer Fun. (Although, I will say that if DD was old enough to ride TOT I would go to DHS to ride it and then leave.)

I love AK. It's tied with MK as my 2nd fave park (Epcot first). We often do two days at AK. It just depends on what your family likes. I love the ambiance of AK and seeing the animals. DD likes playing in the Dinoland play areas. We ride the safari more than once. I like the shows. But, like I said, you need to decide what works best for your family.

Have a great trip!
