Hilton Bonnet Creek?

:dumbo:Hi there!

This is my very first post as I am new to the Disboards. Sorry if this is a redundant post as I haven't been through every single thread of this site. I wanted to know what you all thought about the Hilton Bonnet Creek? Last year I stayed at Disney's Pop Century Resort but my mother is insisting we stay at the Hilton. It's only for 4 days and then when my mother leaves my boyfriend and I will be staying at The Art Of Animation for the last 5 days of our trip.

How are the shuttle buses? I heard they run in half hour intervals but is it only during certain parts of the day or is it continuous until the parks close? I'm worried it will be like the last off site resort I stayed at where the last bus leaves before the park closes and we couldn't see the fireworks unless we paid for a cab to take us back. Also is there one bus for every park?

Is it on Disney Property? I read conflicting things where some people considered it to be on Disney Property because of how close it is to Pop Century and Art of Animation but I know this Hilton doesn't have EMH etc.

Lastly, just any general opinions of it? Anything I should know. I would love to be staying at a Disney Hotel for the length of my trip so it kind of sucks that I will be leaving the bubble. Is it worth the stay?

Thanks in advance for all your comments!pixiedust: :tinker:

Have not stayed but have stayed Hilton Orlando, built the same time, same basic setup and loved it. My sister has stayed many times at Bonnet Creek location and loves it there. The pool area is one of the nicest.

Here is a link to the shuttle buses. You can plunk in destinations and it will show you all the bus times. http://www.bonnetshuttle.com/transs...d=1&puDate=3/25/2015&puLocId=402&doLocId=1136

It is NOT on Disney property. This property was boxed in by Disney and highways so an agreement was made to allow them a driveway exit on to Disney property. It is a great location (we have stayed at the Bonnet Creek timeshares next door). And you are right this Hilton has no Disney perks.

It is a beautiful hotel, somewhat within the bubble due to location. Nice amenities and great hotel for a relaxation day. Enjoy the nice pool areas or just spend your time at the parks letting it just be for sleeping.

I've stayed several times at HBC and POP. I agree with you mother a Hilton is so much better. However I would not stay there with out a car. The busses are too unreliable.

We stayed in October for 2 nights. Really enjoyed it. Lazy river was great, we only ate buffet breakfast once but it was nice. Easy drive to Disney but we did try their shuttle to a Epcot. Stopped at DHS then had to change drivers before it went to EP so it took a while. Was going to MK after Epcot so would have been lengthy if you use it. I think it took 45 min to get from Hilton to EP. We decided to take a taxi back rather then walking through all if EP from WS, waiting around 20 min for bus back. $15 total for 4 of us. Worth it.
You pay for parking, $15 per day I think and resort fees(we used points so no resort fees.) we would stay again except we got a timeshare deal for Wyndham grand in June.

The Hilton Bonnet Creek is much nicer than a Disney value resort. We've stayed several times and used a rental car and cabs. The pool area is beautiful nice pool bar. We really enjoyed our stays there.

THIS! We love the HBC and have stayed there several times -- the pool is fabulous as is pool bar/restaurant. Kids loved the in-pool movies in the evenings. However, we have not tried the buses -- although we love it, not sure if we'd want to rely completely on their shuttle buses.

Hilton BC is now our go to hotel for any trip to Disney. We love this hotel. The lazy river is awesome, the breakfast buffet is great and we always make sure to eat at Zeta when staying there. We have never had an issue with the buses during our stays but we always have a rental car as we like to go out to eat on our non-park days.

For those who have stayed here, do you know their policy regarding pool guests? We will be traveling to Orlando at the same time as a few friends and would love to have their families join us for drinks and swimming one evening.

Most hotels have pools for registered guests only. I would call and ask to be sure. They dont check for proof at the pool though and I would imagine at the bar or restaurants, it is fine since they are paying customers. Just know, they will have to pay for parking ($15 or $20)

Thank you!
