What does 180+10 mean?

at 180 days you can make reservations for your checkin say and up to 10 days after. If your trip is 5 days then that is your max

It means you can make ressies at 180 days. If you are staying on property, you can book at the 180th day for up to 10 more days. If you are staying off property you must make the ressies each day - you can't book for the 10 days. Make sense?

So does this mean if you are doing split stays you are kind of out luck for the reservation perk? Example, book one night at AKL, you can only do 180 +1, next stay is 3 days at AOA, you can only do 180+3?

Yes, but this is a very recent problem. This is an example of a loophole that people exploited and Disney finally got around to closing it. It used to be that 180+10 actually meant +10; no matter how long your reservation, you could book ADR's for an additional 10 nights. So, people would split onsite and offsite reservations, but get the full benefit of onsite ADR booking privileges. So, last year Disney changed the website to limit you to your actual reservation, and this year they updated their call center's application with the same limit. So, now split stays are actually limited to the duration and start date of each reservation.

Thanks for this - I don't know why but I had it in my head I meant I could book 190 days out! I was wondering why it was not letting me do that online.

I have a bit of a condurum in all the FD craziness I panicked at not having a modify button and booked a whole new reservation at a different resort. My initial reservations had to be made early or so I was told as we are traveling with 3 children and 2 adults so in our value resort we need the door to an adjoining room. That said because we had two room we could not just modify. I panicked and booked a new trip at AOA in what was left even though it cost more and wasn't our ideal room, but FD is FD. So to my question now that I have both reservations after cLling in and making a small room category change I'm torn as to which to keep. The cm told me the adjoining rooms with doors are limited and not guaranteed. I have to have a room with direct access I don't really see another option. So my ADR's open tonight or tomorrow what do I do? Can I make one set and change them to the room I keep or do I try to make two sets which I hate to do because others struggle for one. I'd really have no clue what to do about the rooms and I've been told by several people the adjoining rooms are not guaranteed. Whichever I cancel I plan to come to the boards and let people know before hand so maybe someone else can snag it from the forum. I feel terrible seeing people not get FD when I have two, but I'm not as Disney Resort savvy as I'd like to be and am so confused as to what to do it's making my head hurt. Please help

ADR's are not, in any way, linked to your resort reservation. You're overthinking this.

Thank you so much I cannot express how spot on you are after days of no sleep and squinting to read the forum in the darkness of my room on my phone so I don't disturb the sleeping family. :scared:
