So about 6 or 8 weeks ago, there was availabilty for a studio at Poly for this years April trip. For some unknown reason, I could not convince any of the 3 ladies in my life to switch from our normal home of BWV to Poly. Of course we had dinner at Ohana like we do every year. We happened to get the best table in the house at the front left corner of the resteraunt over looking the very active pool area. In unison, my three ladies looked sheepishly at me and stated....."we wished we stayed here"........NO ****!!!!! Of course I let them know that the odds of that next year will be very unlikely. I think that opportunity has passed us by for a long time.

To my question. Of all the MK resorts, will there be any availability at the 7 month mark? Opinions please?

How about the beach club as a last option? Opinions please.

Thanks

I just got the poly Std view for thanksgiving week Sun, Mon and Tues and got the grand Floridian std view 1 bdrm for Friday and sat night.

I booked the GFV 4 days after the 7 month window...and got a std view. Yea!

Went online right at 8 am for Poly for the Monday and Tuesday.stay right at the 7 month window. I forgot to go on the day before (22nd) for the Sunday stay so I had no room for Sunday.

But I got the Sunday std view today, so 3 days after the 7 month window.

Last year got the GFV at 7 month window....but had to switch to BLT at 3 months before our trip due to added guest. I got a 2 bedroom at BLT at end of dec for March stay. I was searching constantly and had to book day by day and then had the reservation linked.

The resort availability tool is awesome.

But people switch all the time especially at the one month mark because then the points go into holding. So watch around that time too. I had points and holding 2 years ago and got the BLT 30 days out at Christmas time

I actually think April, outside of Easter which is anyway in March next year you actually have good chance. We are booking for just after Easter next year and i have been tracking for a while. Availability was good everywhere well after 7 months.

March and April are low to moderate DVC demand months at WDW with only somewhat higher demand during the two Easter weeks. You will find many things open at 7 months out except potentially AKV value and club level, BLT standard view, VGF studios, and BWV standard and boardwalk view. Though Poly has not been around long enough to see if it will usually be open at 7 months out during that period, I suspect it will.

Totally depends on Poly sales and declared inventory. At some point, it will become very difficult to book the Poly at 7 months, but I don't think we're there yet.

I agree with Supersnoop.

I actually had confirmed a rez for a Bungalow for this October for one night but after having the rez fro almost a month, I let it go. Just couldn't resolve spending 120 points for ONE night. I mean I've seen the bungalows at the Polynesian and they are truly spectacular, but as a very longtime member, I have a hard time spending points for a 2 bdrm, no matter how amazing when I could get a night in a GV at either Aulani or VGF for pretty much the same amount….
