Help with where to eat around HS

We will be heading to WDW next year to celebrate my daughter's sweet 16. We know what we want to do on our meals except for 1 day. That day is Hollywood Studios. We have ate at the Studios every time we go and while I love 50's, she does not. She is not picky what so ever but she just is not a fan. So, I need suggestions of places we could go-I was thinking of taking a boat ride to one of the resorts close by. Does anyone have any places they love (or like) that are a boat ride away from Hollywood Studios? Thank you for any suggestions!

What about SciFi? Its right there in the park and has good food in a fun atmosphere. Otherwise agree beaches and cream is a solid choice

Are you talking about lunch or dinner?

My first instinct when reading your title was "Not in HS!"

For dinner I'm going with Trattoria al Forno or Flying Fish.

Lunch, ESPN or Beaches and Cream.

Lunch: Captain's Grille @ Yacht Club - lobster rolls, crab cakes, and great clam chowder.

My first thought was also beaches and cream. Just a boat ride away, food is good, fun atmosphere...

If you have park hopper I'd just go over to EPCOT. We've ended up doing that lately because there just isn't anywhere in HS we think is worth eating at.

I was thinking about doing this on our HS day. How do you get there? Via boat? Do you then tour the WS a little? Do you think this would be a pain with two little ones? Maybe then head back to Poly via monorail.

Friendship Boats go from HS to Epcot (you will make several stops at Swan/Dolphin, Yacht Club, Boardwalk Inn, then Epcot.) I think full one way trip takes 30 minutes? We always get off at S&D then walk the Boardwalk to Epcot which takes about 10 minutes. It isn't a pain at all, much easier than the busses IMHO! You won't have to break down your stroller.

You can take the monorail back to Poly, but it will take time. You'll have to walk from WS to front of park, take monorail to TTC, and then transfer to MK monorail.

If you'll be done with the park when it's time to eat, then sure, by all means take a boat to an Epcot resort or one step further and eat in Epcot. But if you're looking to eat lunch and then back to HS, then I don't think it's worth the boat ride to eat somewhere else. We've had good food at Mama Melrose in HS lately and also Sci-Fi is pretty decent food and a cool experience.

If you will be done at HS and want a casual lunch, Espn Club on the boardwalk is fun or else Beaches & Cream at BC for a diner-type meal. If going into Epcot, then I'm sure you know the many options there.

If it's dinner you're looking for, there's a new Italian restaurant on the boardwalk that we never got a chance to try, but I wanted to. Also, as mentioned above, Cape May buffet in BC is pretty good.

No, quite the contrary. When our kids were little and we had a double stroller, we highly preferred finding ways to take a boat or monorail, rather than unload and fold up our stroller for a bus. It ended up taking a lot longer, but we were never really in a hurry. Our kids often fell asleep in the stroller by the time we headed to the front of Epcot to catch the monorail, so it was a nice relaxing walk for DH and I.

Thanks everyone! I was thinking of dinner. Now-we will decide between Cape May, Beaches and Cream and Flying Fish...we won't have park hoppers.

Brown Derby is really good, but pricy. I hate trying to eat at DHS, with the poor quality TS, lack of QS, and back-to-back shows, it's a real pain. We have only eaten at Brown Derby with ADRs, the hot dog stand outside of LMA, and ABC Commissary:confused3 Everything else was always so busy or just didn't seem appealing.
