Maximizing Space at Values - looking for tips :)

I hate living out of suitcase and our family of 2 adults and 2 school age boys are planning on staying at the Pop for 8 nights. I'm looking for some feedback on how to maximize the small space. Some ideas I have gleaned so far:

* Pack a collapsible laundry hamper
* Use the ironing board as a shelf in the closet
* Put luggage under sink
* Use a over the door hanger (put I understand that it doesn't actually fit over the door so unsure about where to put this)

Looking for more ideas :) Also, best place to set up charging station for electronics and for my personal coffee maker that I will be packing

Duffel bags instead of suitcases.
Pack half of what you planned and do laundry on a pool day.
Hang clothes in the closet to free up some drawer space.
Whittle down toiletries.
Use the drawers in the room.
Use the luggage rack.

Best place for charging station would probably be the nightstand with the more accessible outlet, or the table.
You can save space in both luggage and the room by leaving the coffee maker home and visiting the food court instead.

Can't add much - all of my tips are already listed - but I do bring a 6' extension cord for the charging station. The outlets are not well positioned. Used to bring a hub with several USB outlets, but now just the extension cord and the bricks and cords for the devices. HTH

You can try geting an organizer that hangs, like this one:

I agree that you can save space if you a) pack less and do laundry on pool day. Thats what we do. And b) get coffee from food court instead of bringing a coffee maker.

I use a shoe organizer, but I hang it from a coat hanger in the closet with pipe cleaners. Great place to put all the little things you need.

I use a couple of different size hanging closet organizers! When traveling with two 21 y/o's, drawer space is never enough!!! So, I tend to bring along more storage items than needed! They collapse nicely and fit in my checked bag. One is shoe size, the other sweater size. And then add an over the door shoe organizer for toiletries.

We don't bring a clothes hamper, we just use one of the empty suitcases for dirty clothes.

As a pp, we hand the over the door hanger in the closet next to the sink.

I think I have read that WDW frowns upon bringing your own appliances into their resorts. Could be wrong you should double check with another disboarder. I suffer from both KRAFT and CRS. :)

This was drilled into my head since I was about five years old. Ditty bags. Each member of the family had a small plastic bag like a cosmetic bag and it was filled with personal size plastic bottles of shampoo, conditioner, an extra toothbrush, a small tube of toothpaste, and then later, small case of contact solution and an extra contact case. Basically, everything needs to get ready for a day. Make one for each person in your family or make a bigger bag for all four of you. You can do this before your trip so all you have to do when packing is stick the bag(s) in your suitcase(s) and you are done. Once there, just throw the bag(s) on top of the toilet tank and you are done.

Shoes of all sorts can go under the nightstand so they are off the floor for vacumming and are all in one place at all times.

We always take a pop up hamper and it fits just under the bathroom sink or in the corner next to the sink.

Limit toys and such to a small bag each child can handle (if they carry a backpack at school, they can carry one on the plane and be responsible for it). Make sure the toys are in the bag each morning so things don't get lost in the beds. Store the bags in an empty suitcase during the time away from the room.

A kid in a dirty shirt after spilling ice cream on it doesn't hurt anyone so just wipe things off and go so no need to over pack. I would pack a second pair of shoes but store extra socks in there until you need them.

No need to pack extra towels for the room or pool.

One sweatshirt can last an entire trip.
