I can't wait any longer! ~UPDATE 5/25 I'm back!

Oh it's a sad truth. The older you get the bumpier everything just feels. And sometimes...you can even feel it the next day after going on rides...like you had a strange workout using odd muscles lol.

And here I was hoping it'd get easier! :rotfl: Oh well, at least I can hopefully make the motion sickness part better!

Yay for magic band arrival though!!

:hyper: So excited!!! :hyper:

Your last post reminded me I still have to get the anti-nausea wristbands and motion sickness meds too! I will use them on my cruise! :)
I am still terrified of ToT. I like speed, but I am scared of free falling...that's why I love RnRC and hate ToT!! Good luck on ToT!
I am like that on EE. When I rode it many years ago I felt ill and then that ill feeling stayed with me all day. I hated feeling like that at Disney so since then I've avoided that ride. I just don't want to take the chance, and there's plenty other stuff at AK to keep me occupied while DH rides single rider! :D

J Buffet is great!! Sounds like a fun concert!

In September, I rode Space Mountain for the first time since I was 29 (I'm 34 now). I found myself screaming much more than necessary, and stumbled off of it questioning if they cranked it up and made it more intense in the last 5 years. Turns out, I'm just getting old. Go figure! :rotfl:

Right?!?
When did getting old make us become so off balanced? :worried::upsidedow

Just jumping in on the anti nausea conversation..

Ginger is a great way to also help with nausea. You can get ginger caplets at any drug store or Whole Foods Market. I had also read while doing my cruise research that green apples are supposed to help. I had read that on rough sea days they cruise crews put green apples for everyone :D. I haven't ever tried the green apple trick but the ginger has worked for me.

Yea for magic bands!! :thumbsup2We just returned from DL yesterday and I have to tell you I really missed not having one! Having to deal with paper fastpasses, paper park tickets and room keys was kind of a pain in the patoot! It's so much easier to have it all in one.

I'm not gonna lie... I'm still a bit terrified about Tower of Terror as well but I'm hoping to convince myself that the anti-motion sickness meds will be my cure-all. Mind over matter, right?! :rolleyes1

It was a great concert, indeed!!! :thumbsup2 I'm glad you also like Jimmy! :goodvibes

I don't know but I'd like it to stop! :rotfl:

Thank you so much!!! This is an excellent idea - I'll be sure to get some ginger too! I can't over-prepare for this trip in that department... I'd much prefer to not spend my days in the bathroom feeling  :rotfl:Interesting, I've never heard of the green apple trick but I'll keep that in mind too!

I hope you had a great time at DL, despite the inconvenience of having to use that archaic paper system  I agree, it really is so much easier to have it all connected to your wrist! My only time in DL was in 2010 and I loved it... someday I'll get back! :thumbsup2

I hope they meds work, you really need to go on Tower of Terror and enjoy it! :cool1:

Our trips are almost here!!!! :jumping1:

I second the ginger! I'm a flight attendant and a lot of us carry ginger candy in our bags just in case we hit bad turbulence and need some. Hope all the meds you prepared work so you can enjoy your trip to the fullest! :goodvibes Have fun on ToT, it's one of my favorite rides at DL. Less than a month to go! :cheer2:

Awesome!!! I actually just picked up some on my way home from work tonight! :thumbsup2 I'm trying to stack the deck in my favor as much as I possibly can!

Thanks!!! I can't believe how close I'm getting! party:

Hello there!!! [waiting for @pkondz to respond on this…]
I hope you’ve all had a lovely week! Mine has been busy but not nearly as busy as next week will be. I’ve signed up for a three night course for first-time homebuyers :scared1: (jury's out on whether I'll actually do this... the home buying part, not the workshop) plus I have a dentist appointment plus I have two physical therapy appointments (I have a knee injury from running too much :sad2:), plus I have an evening out with friends to watch the new Avengers movie, plus I’m going to my sister’s on Friday night (2+ hours away) to see our best friend who is having her baby shower on Saturday (an additional 2 hours from my sister’s house), plus I’m hightailing it back home after the shower to make it [briefly] to my cousin’s going away party. I’m exhausted just thinking about it! Anyway… I’m sure you’re all so appreciative to know all those mundane details of my life. So on to the good stuff!

I had a very Disney week this week! First off, my MagicBand arrived!!! :jumping1:

IMG_0866.JPG

Secondly, my grandmother bought us tickets to see Beauty and the Beast at a theater about 30 minutes away – it was amazing!!! All I was allowed to take photos of was the stage pre-show so you’ll get that at least.

IMG_0862.JPG

This was absolutely amazing! The cast was phenomenal and the whole night was just awesome. I can't say enough about it. :goodvibes

I also have started buying some items for my trip and slowly starting to pull things together. My friend (the same one who is having her baby shower next Saturday) got me this notebook a while back and I figured it was perfect for taking trip report notes!

IMG_0867.JPG

Also, a special thank you to @cinderkelly (and to @bunnyboo for backing her up) on recommending ginger capsules. I just picked some up at Wegman’s tonight on my way home from work! Tower of Terror… here I come!!! :hyper:
I’ve also made myself a list of things I still need to accomplish before my trip. Among that list are the following items:

1. Finalize daily plans

2. Finalize must-eats

3. Book my next trip by May 10th (voucher deadline)

4. Figure out approximately where other Disers will be and when so I can make some Dismeets happen! I think I’ve got a pretty good handle on @Dugette thanks to her awesome daily plan updates :thumbsup2

5. Print out Mousekeeping envelopes and decorate them

Stay tuned for more updates as my trip gets closer! :goodvibes

Aw you're welcome re: the ginger, hope it does the trick for ya!:thumbsup2

Love, love, love getting that MB package!!

Beauty and the Beast stage show is amazing, I got to see it in Dallas about 12 years ago, yep, I totally cried

Hello there!!!

Hi Tracy! :wave2:

[waiting for @pkondz to respond on this…]

Uh, oh.
Wha'd I do???
I'm in trouble...
It was that night in Bangkok wasn't it!

I hope you’ve all had a lovely week!

Busy, tiring, and waiting for a day off.
(Only 1 more week to go!)

I’ve signed up for a three night course for first-time homebuyers

Good for you!

plus I have a dentist appointment

Ugh. pkondz still has a sore tooth from the crown he got the other... month?

plus I have two physical therapy appointments (I have a knee injury from running too much :sad2:)

Been there... the physical therapy part that is.
The running... not so much.

plus I have an evening out with friends to watch the new Avengers movie

Is that coming out already?
Time's going by in blur.

I’m exhausted just thinking about it!

I'm exhausted just reading it! :faint:

I’m sure you’re all so appreciative to know all those mundane details of my life.

::yes::

Secondly, my grandmother bought us tickets to see Beauty and the Beast at a theater about 30 minutes away – it was amazing!!!

Nice! :thumbsup2

All I was allowed to take photos of was the stage pre-show so you’ll get that at least.

Looks like a beautiful theatre!

I figured it was perfect for taking trip report notes!

And again... ::yes::

Tower of Terror… here I come!!! :hyper:

Woot! You go girl!

1. Finalize daily plans

2. Finalize must-eats

3. Book my next trip by May 10th (voucher deadline)

4. Figure out approximately where other Disers will be and when so I can make some Dismeets happen! I think I’ve got a pretty good handle on @Dugette thanks to her awesome daily plan updates :thumbsup2

5. Print out Mousekeeping envelopes and decorate them

6. Tell pkondz how absolutely amazing he is.
(daily would be fine.)

Stay tuned for more updates as my trip gets closer! :goodvibes

Standing by.

wow--busy week!

cute notebook!

I printed out mousekeeping envelopes for the first time on our last trip. I let our girls color them. they were so much fun to leave every day!

What a super cute notebook!

Thanks! I love it so much!!! It'll be perfect for this trip... as I plan on taking lots of notes! ::yes::

Aw you're welcome re: the ginger, hope it does the trick for ya!:thumbsup2

Me too!!!

Love, love, love getting that MB package!!
It's SO exciting!!! :hyper:

Beauty and the Beast stage show is amazing, I got to see it in Dallas about 12 years ago, yep, I totally cried
I cried too!!! I'd judge myself if I didn't

Hi Tracy! :wave2:
Uh, oh.
Wha'd I do???
I'm in trouble...
It was that night in Bangkok wasn't it!
YES!!! Sheesh... :sad2: In reality, though, it really was the ":wave2:" - you do this every time and I just love it!!!

Busy, tiring, and waiting for a day off.
(Only 1 more week to go!)
I sure hope that week goes fast for you - you need a break! And, let's be honest, I need my trip to be a week closer anyway!

Ugh. pkondz still has a sore tooth from the crown he got the other... month?
Oops. Probably too soon to have mentioned the dentist, huh?

Is that coming out already?
Time's going by in blur.
Yep, sure is! I'm seeing it Thursday, though to be honest, I'm not entirely sure that's opening night. But knowing my friend who secured us all tickets, it's likely that it is.

I'm exhausted just reading it! :faint:
Right?!?!

Looks like a beautiful theatre!
It really is. I don't know if I've mentioned this before, but I don't exactly live in a booming metropolis. The fact that I can see a play at a place like this practically down the street is pretty darn cool. ::yes::

6. Tell pkondz how absolutely amazing he is.
(daily would be fine.)
Well this surely goes without saying but I will anyway: pkondz - you're amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

cute notebook!
Thanks! I really love it! :goodvibes

Oh that's a great idea, though I suppose if I add any coloring, I'll have to be the one to do it  But yes, I agree! They're so much fun to leave! And the more creative you get with them, the more fun they are! :thumbsup2 I'm sure Mousekeeping especially loved yours since your girls made them extra special :goodvibes

In reality, though, it really was the ":wave2:"

I know. I thought it would be more fun to feign ignorance... or make something up.

you do this every time and I just love it!!!

You keep saying hi to us, I'll keep saying hi right back atcha!
(Especially now that I know how much you like it. :goodvibes)

And, let's be honest, I need my trip to be a week closer anyway!

Yes, there's always that.

Oops. Probably too soon to have mentioned the dentist, huh?

Never would be too soon. :sad2:

Well this surely goes without saying but I will anyway: pkondz - you're amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

:rotfl: I can't believe you actually did that!! :lmao:

And yes... I love it! :goodvibes

You have a busy week ahead! All the better to pass time until DISNEY!

Yay for Mickey Mail!

And I can't wait to read more about your plans - especially the 24-hour day! And to see what dates you picked for your next trip!

I just picked some up at Wegman’s tonight on my way home from work!

I love Wegmans! We didn't have one near us when we lived in Virginia but since moving to Pennsylvania I'm a total convert!

I’ve signed up for a three night course for first-time homebuyers
Good luck if you decide to pursue it! :goodvibes

I’m exhausted just thinking about it!
:faint: Me too! You're going to busy and the trip is going to come up fast! ::yes::

First off, my MagicBand arrived!!!
party:

Secondly, my grandmother bought us tickets to see Beauty and the Beast at a theater about 30 minutes away – it was amazing!!!
Sounds awesome! What a fun thing to do! :thumbsup2

4. Figure out approximately where other Disers will be and when so I can make some Dismeets happen! I think I’ve got a pretty good handle on @Dugette thanks to her awesome daily plan updates :thumbsup2
Happy to help! :rotfl: I was thinking that I need to do a post about this. I know I have overlap with a number of DISers and need to make sure I've got it all figured out. :teacher:

5. Print out Mousekeeping envelopes and decorate them
Okay, I think you've inspired me. I've never done this, but we have envelopes, Minnie stickers, and a toddler that will need something to do on an airplane...

I'd say you are right on target for your trip.

I love that little notebook - its so cute! Take lots of great notes for your upcoming TR! :thumbsup2

Sounds like you are going to be super busy this weekend, so just try to relax and enjoy!

Wait... You have a dentist appointment AND a Disney trip????? How did you get so lucky?

I have a knee injury from running too much

See, this is why I don't bother running. I can injure my knees just fine without running, thank you. :snooty:

I had a very Disney week this week! First off, my MagicBand arrived!!!

Yeah... Just keep rubbing that in there Tracy. Seriously though, YAY!

Secondly, my grandmother bought us tickets to see Beauty and the Beast

I'd be interested to hear how this compares to the MGM show.

I figured it was perfect for taking trip report notes!

I always planned to do that one day. Maybe I need to write some notes in a notebook to remind me.

4. Figure out approximately where other Disers will be and when so I can make some Dismeets happen!

YAY DISmeets. I've heard they can be pretty fun. :goodvibes

Your upcoming week does sound super exhausting but a lot of fun things in there too!! It's funny - DisMeets sound like so much fun....everyone has such complicated plans though...how do you get people in the same place at the same time lol. I'm sure it will happen because super organized people will make it so...but I'm sure it will involve spreadsheets!
