Searched and could not find anything for November 2015. Anyone starting to plan their November trip yet?

I think it may be too early, not all of the airlines have posted their flights.

I will be renting a car in November but southwest flights do not post until May:( so it'll be awhile.

I just booked first week of November in an intermediate SUV 7-day rental through Budget using Costco codes (I am a member) for $250.03 all in. I am flying Southwest and am waiting for the schedules to come out but I know approximately the times I will fly so I went ahead and booked. I will keep checking this thread for better deals.

I just booked November 10-17 for a midsize SUV through Budget using Costco as well. It is $267 which seems a bit high to me. We just had a minivan from Alamo for 12 days in March (high season) and it was only $288. I booked but I'll be checking for better rates, although I'm OK with that.

I am booked through Alamo for $300 the 13th-22nd in a mid size SUV. I am hoping to significantly reduce that price!

Not much going on here. November is far away but I just started looking and found a code I got from the minivan rental watch thread. Alamo VROOM Code (299851) and $30 off (AD2338fdf) 11/26 to 12/6 for $363 total. I'm willing to go lower :) anyone find anything better? I am also waiting for southwest to open up their schedule next week. Just checking out my options.

Where do these get entered? I have tried Coupon and product codes and neither VROOM and 299851 work.

Not sure what type of car anyone is looking to book but we have had such great luck with SIXT rental car. They are a little company but the service was great! They are a quick few min shuttle ride from the airport and they offer a refreshing cold water on the way. They offer discounts for all types of things and if you sign up for there rewards program you get 5%discount off as well. For 7-8 days i usually pay about $200-$225 all said and done for a car like hyndai sonata class. Just throwing it out there...

sorry...I wasn't clear. I tried the combinations until it worked. I think the coupon code is "AD2338fdf" and the contract ID was "299851". the code is called vroom vroom vroom limited. Sorry for the confusion.

Avis coupon code MUGA049 and AWD A108326 for $30 off. One week full size rental is showing approx $220 all in.

Thanks very much for the info...this is the lowest pricing I've seen from one of the majors! It's still about $75 more than my reservation with E-Z, so right now I'm thinking of the Alamo reservation as a backup.

One thing I found confusing - there were two rows of "midsize" on Alamo's site, both at the same price but with slightly different details. And only one row let me click through, so that's the one I use. Is this a situation where you'll just be selecting a car from an aisle when you get there?

My dates are 11/28 - 12/5. I booked mid March through Dollar for a mid-size SUV and have a rate of $241.42. I just used the above Alamo code and was able to get a rate of $238.33 for the same. There is only a couple of dollar difference so my question is does anyone prefer one company over the other? Hopefully something even better will come along but for now I will cancel one of these and play the waiting game.

Thanks for 299851 Alamo tip! It just worked for me for great November rate (and to lower my August rate). Has anyone used it before -- would like to avoid any surprise hassle at the airport if it's a restricted club code or similar. I plan to use kiosk for check in.

That Alamo discount has been the best rate so far for me. It even beat the Costco rate.

This has been rehashed over and over again on Disboards. The VROOM VROOM Limited code was a code, intended for international visitors only to the US when Vroom Vroom Vroom was still an Australian company. It includes full insurance. Check your confirmation, both CDW and SLP are selected and cannot be un-selected.

The reason why this is bad for American licensed holders is because you cannot take off the included insurance and it supersedes any other insurance you might have including personal/credit card. If you by any chance get in a accident, Alamo will investigate as they insured the car. They will find from your license you are a American citizen and thus the contract will be null and void due to fraudulent use of a code whether knowingly/unknowingly. You will then be responsible for any damage and/or liability to any injured parties out of pocket.

So ask yourself is the risk worth it over saving a few dollars. With the way people drive in the US and road rage abundant, I would say no. Here's a link to the last reported attempt to use it. They were caught and got lucky.

BTW there is a version of Vroom Vroom for Americans without the insurances included. You must book through the vroom vroom site.
