Amanda & Josh's Wishes Wedding - 05.04.15 - SBP/Attic/UK Lochside - The End (Complete)

We are 25 days out!! :) Unfortunately, I'm too busy with my impending graduation from graduate school and finishing my comp essay to freak out too much about the list of wedding To-Dos at the moment. :scared1: That will be for after April 21st. LOL. We have our rehearsal time finalized now, and thankfully we will be able to use Sea Breeze. It's just a little earlier in the day than we hoped for on Sunday. Here are the tentative plans and ADRs we have for the wedding trip.

7:40 am: Flight arrives to MCO. Board Magical Express and head to the Grand Floridian to check in
Drop off stuff at Franck's as needed
11 am: Manicure and pedicure at Senses Spa

Relax at the GF until time to leave for dinner
6:50 pm: Dinner at BOG (yes, lunch and dinner there at the same day… but Josh really, really likes it!)
Spend evening in MK
Watch Wishes from GF dock

Saturday, May 2:
Check out of GF
10:30 am: Breakfast at Chef Mickey's. Our first time eating here, and my expectations are low based upon reviews. But I need a picture with Chef Donald, so we're going. LOL.
Move to Boardwalk Villas
Lunch and afternoon is still up in the air depending on guest arrivals
Evening at MK with my family

Sunday, May 3:
10 am: Wedding Rehearsal at Sea Breeze Point
12 pm: Welcome Lunch at Ariel's
Spend the late afternoon/early evening at Epcot if our families want to
QS dinner at Boardwalk Bakery (get bagels or muffins for the morning?)
Go to bed early!

4-7 am: Hair and makeup for my mom, bridesmaids, and me
8:30 am: First Look in the Beach Club Villas followed by bridal party photos

4-6 am: Hair and makeup by Beaute Speciale
6:45 am: MK and Epcot Park portraits (eat small breakfast in room)
11:45: Lunch at Sanaa (I may regret this, if we decide we would rather nap instead! But I absolutely have to eat here at some point in the trip!)
Relax at BWV/pool day or Typhoon Lagoon (depends on yesterday)
5:50 pm: Dinner at Cinderella's Royal Table
8:30 pm: Tomorrowland Terrace DP

Friday, May 8:
QS breakfast (hopefully Sunshine Seasons!)
Epcot Day
12:45 pm: Lunch at Coral Reef
6:30 pm: Jedi Mickey's Star Wars Dinner at Hollywood & Vine
Rest of the night free: back to Epcot? HS? Relax?

Saturday, May 9:
Check out of BWV
8:30 am: Breakfast at Tusker House (my favorite!!)
Animal Kingdom Day
6:30 pm: Departure Flight back home

I tried to leave plenty of opportunity for relaxation and free time since this will be our honeymoon, even if that's not in my nature when it comes to Disney! I wanted to fit in Hoop dee Doo somewhere, but I don't think that's going to happen.

Your itinerary looks so awesome! and so smart to leave some free time I am sure after the wedding stress planning plus finals your going to need it! I can't believe only 25 days left that will just fly by!1 hopefully its as stress free as possible ;) and you get everything you need done! and I can't wait for a full TR when you get back :goodvibes

Happy Planning

Ahhh so freaking close!! I forgot to say earlier - your programs are stunning! So perfect with your theme.

I love your itinerary and all the food choices you've made, and what better way to start your trip off then a FREE night at GF? Can't wait for those pictures :)

I'm so glad you got SBP for your rehearsal, even if it's early, that'll make a world of difference. You're in the home stretch for both things!!!

Thanks! Yes, I will definitely post a TR when we get back!! And just think, when we get back, your wedding will be SO CLOSE! :goodvibes I'll probably be a little depressed that my own wedding is over, so I can look forward to seeing and hearing all about yours! :)

I'm glad that we were able to get SBP too, because I think it would be much harder to visualize the actual day inside a ballroom or conference room. I will definitely take lots of pictures at the GF because who knows if we'll ever stay there again. LOL. We're hoping to make a trip in December, and I'm trying to convince Josh that the GF or WL would be the best places to stay at Christmastime... but he wants the Yacht or Beach Club. Haha.

Just a quick update tonight because I need to be working on a paper. I bought a dress for our rehearsal/welcome lunch! I think it's pretty cute while being just the right amount of dressy. Plus, it has a kind of nautical look to it, which will be great for Ariel's. :)

I think it looks okay on me, but the cinched waist is a little high and tight. Hopefully it looks good in pictures. I just might not be able to eat much that day, hahaha. I have a pair of cute gold sandals that are mostly comfortable to wear with it since we'll be walking along the Boardwalk.

Also, I finally decided on a clutch to buy for the wedding day. This isn't the one I liked best, but it was much cheaper. It's a slight variation of one I shared earlier, but I like it better. It will be big enough to hold my phone, ID, and hopefully a small lipstick.

Only 12 and a half workdays left before we leave for Florida. Three weeks from today, we'll be at our dessert party! :teeth:

You've inspired me, now I want to find navy shoes and some cute nautical accessories! Haha. :teeth:

Believe it or not, I made my first wedding related Etsy purchase today! I really wanted to incorporate a memory or special gesture for my grandpa in the wedding somehow. So I found a necklace with an E.E. Cummings quote I really like: "I carry your heart with me/I carry it in my heart." The seller (WhirlyBirdDesigns) is adapting it into a charm for me and I will attach it to my bouquet.

My stone will be garnet instead. Garnets are my favorite gemstone, and I typically wear some kind of garnet jewelry every day. I won’t be on the wedding day though, so this is a way to still wear one, kind of. :) I am going to try to attach an old photo of my grandpa and me to the charm as my Something Old.

Also, my sister (Matron of Honor) sent me a picture of her shoes. They are a blush pink color, and I think they look great! Hopefully these end up working out though, because she said they are pretty uncomfortable.

My other bridesmaid added a fun pink belt to her dress instead of the black and white one that originally came with the dress.

Tomorrow, I'm sending back the signed copy of what’s presumably our final BEO, barring any last minute or unforeseen changes. We also had our consultation call with Trinity tonight to go over last minute details. Initially, we were planning to have our first look at the little "library nook" inside the Beach Club Villas lobby. However, David recommended we move it to Boardwalk so I don't have to walk over to BC in my dress before the ceremony. He mentioned the room with the big red couch. I know I've seen it in pictures a ton of times, but I actually don't know where the exact location is? There are lots of pretty locations at the Boardwalk Inn/Villas area, so I know we'll figure out a good spot.

I love the charm for your bouquet I think that is so cute and so special we are doing something similar to honor our grandfathers and I just love that! and your moh shoes are really cute but that's not good if they are uncomfortable lots of walking on the wedding day hopefully she can break them in! and I like the added belt for your bridesmaid very cute! and make sure to post the whole outfit for your dinner I would love to see what you choose :thumbsup2 and I think boardwalk will be a great first look spot you don't want to have to hike all over with a big wedding dress and I am sure you will find a beautiful spot! only a couple of weeks left :jumping1:

I love that white dress!! It definitely evokes a nautical feel which is so fitting with your whole weekend. I love the way you've chosen to carry your grandfather with you throughout the day, it's so special.

I can't for the love of me think of that giant red couch! I know I've seen it before but I can't recall exactly WHERE.

You're having your conference call and sending in Final BEOs......where has the time gone?! Thank you so much for sharing your story with us, I've loved the ride :)

So our bridal party floral arrived today. I'm... kind of disappointed. The boutonnieres look fine, but I'm not totally in love with the bouquets. The hydrangea looks so obviously fake. The peonies look more natural than they feel. The real touch roses are nice, though. If I had known better, I would have gotten the bouquets with nothing but roses.

The top of the bouquets. For some reason, the lighting is a little weird. They are a brighter white than they seem here.

Boutonniere.

I'm debating reaching out to Disney floral and seeing if I could add on two very small bridesmaid bouquets at the last minute. Maybe just a small trio of roses wrapped in ribbon or something. Josh thinks I'm overreacting and that the silk bouquets look fine (he's probably right).

My final dress fitting is tomorrow. Hopefully there aren't any surprises or a need for last minute adjustments there. We are 13 days from the wedding and 10 days until we leave for Florida. Now that my semester is finished and grad school is officially done, I can actually focus 100% on all the remaining to-dos for the wedding! The workdays until we leave are probably going to feel like torture. LOL.

I think the bouquets will be fine, most people won't be looking that closely and you can just mention to your photographers not to get super close up shots perhaps? I think they will photograph well from a distance. HTH.

The roses look really amazing!! the hydrangeas don't look as real but I don't think it will be that noticeable if your photographer does't zoom in and at the end of they day that won't be a huge focal point! so i would't worry too much about it! :goodvibes You are getting so close that is so exciting :hyper:

That does help! Thank you. I realize that I'm probably overreacting just a little bit. Haha.

Thank you! I was impressed by how real the roses look. They even feel like natural roses. The peonies look okay from a distance, so I will just tell my photographer to avoid closeups. Haha. And yes... it is so close! When we get back, it will be just about time for your wedding. :goodvibes

Well, folks, as of today our countdown is in the SINGLE DIGITS. 9 days until the wedding, 6 days until we're at the World. I can hardly believe it! Last night was my bridal shower, and it was so much fun.

Everything looked so nice! I loved the balloons and the flowers.

Each place setting had a glass slipper and a little Cinderella notepad.

I was given some accessories to wear. :)

I got a Mickey waffle iron! I was way too excited about this.

Some friends went in together and got us the set of dishes I wanted.

With the lovely hostess.

I have more pictures, but I don't want it to be too image heavy. It was such a good time, and I am so thankful to the friends who planned it and attended. :) Still left to do before we leave: finish making reception and ceremony playlists, pack, pick up dress and suit from alterations, write my vows, and probably a handful of other little things that are slipping my mind at the moment!

Oh my goodness Amanda, 8 DAYS!!!! I am on pins and needles excited for you! Your shower was adorable and I love the set of dishes you picked out, they're just gorgeous. Did you decide to stay with the bouquets your already have?

Your bridal shower looked so amazing and like lots of fun! I loved the little Cinderella shoes such a cute touch  and I love that Mickey waffle iron I would use that every day!! the plates are very nice too what a great gifts! :goodvibes I can not believe almost 8 days that is just going to fly by I can't wait to here all how your trip goes!! :goodvibes

Yes, I'm going to keep those bouquets. I have bigger things to worry about at the moment. I'll just ask the photographer not to shoot them too closely because they look better from a distance.

:goodvibes I was wayyyy too excited about that Mickey waffle iron. In fact, I made us waffles for breakfast today. Haha! They tasted good, but nothing compares to Mickey waffles like they have in the parks!
