Rental homes near Disney parks

We are considering going through homeaway.com for a rental house for our large family. Having 8 children, we would like to be close in proximity to the parks so we are not spending all our time in the van, any tips on how close the following cities/towns as we are not familiar w/ the location? I'd like to be no further than 10 minutes from the parks if possible. I've seen many in Emerald Island, Windsor Hills, Orlando Vila, Windsor Palms, Terra Verde, Lake Berkley, Formosa Gardens, and Haines City. (Those are locations we have homes "favorited" in. TYIA!

We've stayed in both Windsor Hills and Emerald Island. Windsor Hills is a bit closer by maybe 5 minutes. From both, we could be at Animal Kingdom (using the Sherberth Road route) in 5-10 minutes. DHS and Epcot in 10-20 minutes and MK 20 minutes to the parking lot. Both areas are nice and I'd recommend either. I've never stayed at the other places.

If you look at the Map posted above IPG is marked in Black ( Junction of Hwy 192 & Hwy 27 )

They do vacation homes ... look them up www.ipgflorida.com

Any of the communities around Hwy 27 & 192 are not that far away from Disney area ( 10 miles )

On our last trip, we stayed in Windsor Palms. For our next trip, we wanted a bigger house (7 bedroom), so we've reserved a house in Rolling Hills.

THere are some great houses in Reunion Resort as well and the have an AMAZING water park! CHampions Gate has brand new pool homes that are very nice and close by too.

We had 10 people in a 6BR 4bath home in Windsor Hills over Christmas, and it worked very well for us. The drive was very doable and having our own pool, gameroom was nice.

Why am I not seeing Reunion Resort on the posted map? Anyone know where it is located?

On that map, Reunion is just North of 532 on 545. About 5 minutes South of Windsor Hills. We've stayed at Windsor Hills twice and loved both times. Our usual condo is in the process of being sold though, so we're looking for a new place. I've been looking at places in Reunion and they seem really nice. Prices seem slightly higher than Windsor - depending on what you are looking for. We have a specific need for one of the rooms to have three beds, so our choices have been limited. The prices may be closer in your case.

Thank you very much! We are pretty open as far as room combos-hoping though that all 8 kids can have their own beds and not have to share. We've found several available with bunks that would allow this. Prices do seem pretty reasonable compared to what we'd have to pay for 3 hotel rooms a night! Good luck finding a place, sorry your condo is getting sold!
