I leave in 5 days. Thanks to all the wonderful posts here I am all prepared. now there is nothing left to do but wait. Uggggh! Pretty sure this is going to be the longest 5 days of my life! Any ideas on how to make it through this week? :)

I am with you!! But I have 17 days to wait! All I have to do is actually pack and I am trying to wait until it gets closer so I have something to do!!

Pack! Lol! The week before I leave is always chaotic. Last minute shopping, packing, cleaning the house, etc. Time flies by. Have a great trip!

i have 17 days as well...i've been packed for months now (not much use for shorts in new york in January...) I regret it now! i feel like so much of a disney vacation is preplanning until your fasts plus reservations are made (snagged anna and elsa...yes!) then you have a torture filled three week period of nothing to do but wait until you can check off another day on the count down! I feel like this might be on purpose to psychologically give you a bigger sense of happiness and accomplishment when you do FINALLY get there...and as a result gleefully spend more money...(maybe not, but if so...i wonder how much Disney spent to figure out how to do that...)

all that being said, i have been spending all my free hours studying the food (mmh, snacks!) the layout of the construction walls, and watching youtube surprise reveals. hopefully you find one of those ideas will help you.... :) and maybe we will pass by each other in the parks!

Ah, but unless you have exactly the fast passes, ADRs, and other events exactly as you want them, you have the "Continual" checking, every day (sometimes every hour) to see if the ones you REALLY wanted become available. Then there is the inevitable update to your "Plan". My DW has a spreadsheet. She has columns for the Park/Activity of the day, their hours of operation, what we are doing for each meal (we had the DDP last time so she mapped the usage of each Table, quick and snack services), any special shows/events that we wanted to see, when the FP was, and of course our ADRs. All color coded.

Last time we went, my DD17 stated 3 days before our departure that "Mom said!" the itinerary was Final. Her BF and I just laughed as we both knew that she would change it again that night. While we were wrong and she did not change it that night (because she worked late and was too tired to look at it), she did change it again the next day and both her BF and I just laughed. :)

Planning for us continues all the way until we have actually accomplished the event. We have made changes up to hours in advance...

I do however, understand your enthusiasm. Unfortunately, I have a LOT longer to wait. (Over 400 days at this point).

Just relax and enjoy it! Like Christmas, the anticipation while waiting for the big event to arrive is part of the fun!

Waiting can be the worst part and make days go by so slowly! But enjoy your trip!

The closer you get, the longer it takes for the days to pass. But in 5 days the wait will be worth it!

19 days to go! The anticipation is killing me!!!!! I am all packed.......everything is bought that needs to be........don't need to clean house since my grown kids will be staying home this trip!!!! Boy are they pissed at me :) hehehe! They piped up about going with me - but I am doing this trip solo! I need the break :) LOL

Looking forward to a RELAXING TRIP!

We are down to 10 days, 6 1/2 more work days, and a 7 hour flight (including layover)...not like I'm counting...

I am at about 409 days. Apparently, Disney just announced their "Free" Dining Plan incentive, so now my DW is investigating if we can take advantage of that on an "Earlier" trip as well.

All I hear is the $$$$ flying out of my wallet. Granted, I enjoy myself, but then I have to figure out how to make it up.
