Tell me about this. Sounds like a walk thru. Fun? Looks like impressive theming. Worth a try?

Worth a try..We didn't care for it though. The most impressive thing to us was the outside of the building..LOL...The acting was bad, the effects weren't functioning and it is very dark inside and very hard to see/hear ( yes it is a walk through)

i liked it but i only do it once every 4th year.
stays fresh for me then.

had a good TM actor for it quite a few times which made the show interesting.

the last room you enter after going thru the vortex was great.

I think it's pretty impressive especially if you've never seen it,as the last poster mentioned it's not something to do frequently but definitely worth doing it.

It's a walk through, extremely corny acting. Great water and fire effects in the final room/battle

It's a guided walk-through.
DS hates it. I wouldn't mind seeing it again, despite it's cheesiness. The water tunnel thing was worth seeing again for me.

its one of those shows that you either like it or you don't.

i do see crowds in line for that show but don't know if it is because:

newbie at the darkside
first time for it
liked the show
just trying to fill the time up since ride lines are long.

I didn't like it, but the water vortex and final scenes are fairly impressive.

I don't know what I was expecting but I was disappointed. So I wouldn't do it again......although if I wanted out of the heat for a while..........

But like everything you have to try it at least once.

My girls absolutely LOVED THIS! They still bring it up occasionally almost a year later! Thought it was the coolest thing ever! It was a little cheesy but we had a good/funny TM when I went through it. It wasn't my favorite, but it wasn't awful either! I enjoyed how much my kids like it! The theming outside the building (in that whole area) is one of my favorites! Worth a walk through, but not something I would be sad if I missed..

We enjoyed it. Our TM was really good, we thought. The effects were great, as were really all the effects on all the attractions that we went on (at least that is our opinion). It's worth a try at least once.

we never miss it, one of our favorites. I strive to be in the front row at the end:teeth:

I do think they could've easily re-themed it as part of HP - Chamber of Secrets something or other.

I went years and years ago and thought it was pretty cool, the water tunnel especially. If memory serves from my recent visit, there's never much of a wait so if nothing else, it's a nice way to get out of the heat and the crowds for a bit.

They really could.

I dont want everything to be changed and Pottered but they could have all sorts of Potter stuff in there. From Chamber and then the Tolkein-esque scene with Dumbledore and Harry in the cave, to back in the chamber with Ron and Hermione...

It's fun to do once. We won't do it again get though. I do remember being in a tunnel waiting to get into the show. Although it was nice and cool inside, it was hot as hades In the tunnel. And of course, certain individuals were present from areas that obviously have never had deodorant delivered to them. That's one smell I can't handle!

Yep!!! Worst thing ever to be stuck beside someone like that.

We let a family or ten go ahead of us once in the queue for FJ so we were away from these two women.........they smelled like they had come from Hades!!!

I liked it but it felt like forever to get through the line and into the show. I almost gave up. I thought the effects were really good.

This is a thing I WANT to like very much, but I find that the experience is not the most comfortable to get through. I still do it, but I feel like it could be better. I love the concept though.

Loved it the first time, but by the 5th time, we'd had enough. But we still go and crack jokes ala MST3K. The final movie scene is so 80s looking and hilarious after the thrill of the pyrotechnics wears off. Definitely go at least once - plan on 30 minutes. We like to eat at Mythos and make reservations in the morning - then plan PF about 45 min before - when you exit, you are just near Mythos.

This brings up an interesting thought

Question for anyone.

Do you all consider the pre-load portions part of the ride or just time wasters? The stuff like the the rooms and tunnels before the show? Or the movies before the Simpsons ride. All the movie making stuff before the Disaster tram.

Things like that. Do you enjoy that stuff?
