F&G Beer sizes

One thing I hope does not happen at the F&G this year is the same thing that happened at F&W this past fall: the shrinking of the beer sizes at the booths! And the limit of one per person on top of that, which makes no sense whatsoever since you can order a sample at some that contains 4 at once.

I do understand that they are trying to control the amount of alcohol people drink during these events but the places that are there year round still sell the 16oz beers & still allow the max of 2 for one person at a time. This is helpful when you are with someone else who is getting food from another location so you don't have to backtrack for them to get the beverage. It just seems like there are inconsistencies with this new rule & I am hoping not to see it again.

Update: They unfortunately have continued this offer of only 6 ounce beers from the Outdoor Kitchens. However, when I was there in March they did allow me to get two at once so I could at least pour them into a cup that holds 12 ounces & not have to juggle 2 shots of beer while walking in a crowded park.

The point I make may not be important at all to some (& I do understand and respect the reason stated to me by a CM for doing so), but if I like a particular beer, I want to be able to have a regular portion size of it & not just a shot glass sized portion of it. Just sayin.. :)

I for one don't see a problem with the size of the glasses. I can understand how the cap of how many you can order is to do with trying to control alcohol intake, but the glass sizing is simply because the point of the booths is to sample things - nothing to do with limiting intake... I mean you don't expect a full sized lobster roll from the booths, why expect a full sized beer?

If you want a full size meal you'd go to a restaurant, if you wanted a 16oz beer you'd go to a bar/lounge right?

I agree. The Food and Wine Festival is supposed to be about going around and getting "samples" of food and wine and beer. If a guest finds a "samples" he/she likes, then they can go back and continue to get "samples" of that food or drink. Yes, you can g and get five quesadillas if you want but only one or two drinks. That's because quesadillas aren't regulated.

Disney World can and will require an ID for alcoholic drinks. No ID required to buy a quesadilla.
