I liked it too but really, how many people actually did the ride and stayed for the movie. Yah, not that many. I will miss the feel of it and the movie.
Personally, I feel the ride had to go. It was dated and the mold in the attraction was seriously getting out of control. Frozen is huge, absolutely huge, it needs a permanent spot somewhere and I feel this makes sense. The Norway pavilion is really no big loss, I look forward to what Disney conjures up for Frozen.
Jimmy Thick- The Norway pavilion, just Let It Go...
People do complain about that just not as vocal. The problem with Norway is they are taking so much away from the country and turning it into a mini frozen land. The countries in world showcase are supposed to represent the cultures and show people what they are like. What I find interesting is that no one complains about a character restaurant in Norway, just a character ride.
So I would assume that this is the same feeling for the boat ride in mexico?
EPCOT was not meant to be a platform for Disney animation...
At least not in this manner.
They could have had anna and Elsa narrate a new ride for Scandanavia...but that wouldn't sell crap, photopass, and character breakfasts
Frozen belongs in fantasyland not world showcase. World showcase shouldn't have countries represented and then one pavilion that used to be a country which is now fiction. I'm ok with a small presence in Norway but frozen is taking over Norway and that's not how world showcase is intended. The three caballeros in Mexico is more of a subtle character influence which is ok.Epcot was not supposed to be a theme park to begin with...
If you go to the parks, all you see is little girls dressed as Elsa. You hardly see any other princess represented anymore, thats a huge factual statement. The Norway pavilion had its day, it used to be nice, but it was never great, a Frozen pavilion has potential to be great. And it will.
Jimmy Thick- If you really want culture, go to Norway, not a theme park pavilion.
What I find interesting is that no one complains about a character restaurant in Norway, just a character ride.
