Scored Be Our Guest for breakfast...question

So it's been 6 years since we were at Disney. Our oldest is graduating this year, and so we are headed back! :yay:Today, I scored a BOG 8:35 breakfast reservations for 6/1. (25 min before the park opens) I read on the DIS that you can pre-order your meals through My Disney Exp. Wondering if anyone can tell me how and if there is a time (as in days) that I should do that? Also, for my picky 12 year old, is it going to be an issue that she eats from the kids menu?:thanks:

You can pre-order 30 days out, I believe. --You just click on the reservation on the app and it will allow you to place an order.

DH and I knew exactly what we wanted so it was easy to get it in as soon as we could, but you don't have to jump on it that far out. If you do, you can continue to modify the order for a while. I'm just not sure how long before the reservation they cut that off. (I assume it's within 24 or 48 hours, though.)

I don't think they care about people ordering off the kids menu. If it's a dining credit issue then I think you just use up the normal "adult" credit.

You can place your order anywhere from 30 days to 5 minutes before your reservation.

No problems with kids (or adults) ordering off the kids' menu so far. Since you don't place the order with a waiter/waitress, there's really no way for them to police that.

Just a note about times, since you mentioned them. 9:00 may be the official opening time that is posted, but the park usually opens 10 minutes ( or more) before that. So don't be surprised to see a lot of people already at the rides when you leave the restaurant.

Thanks all. Hoping to have the food ready so we don't spend a lot of time eating. Will it help showing up early? What's policy on how early they let you in the ADR?
