The Official May 2015 Thread!!

Popping in to join the excitement again!! We're officially 18 days out, and luckily the new hours don't affect us much at all. Our DHS night is extended, but we already planned to leave around 8 to go back to Pop for a swim so we're not bothered. We'll only be in the MK the night of the extended AM hours (we're closing out the EMH that night) so luckily we're not in too bad shape. I've been writing finals (I'm finishing up my third year of uni) so I haven't been involved too much in the direct planning but when I go home for the summer Saturday night we're going to really kick planning into high gear!

If anyone was wondering, Marshall's had some really cute Disney tees mixed into their juniors' section (I'm sure they had some in kids too, we just didn't look!) when we went shopping! I picked up a Little Mermaid crop top for myself as well as a t-shirt with Elsa on it. Looking forward to gathering up all our Disney gear for the trip, I can't believe it's finally so soon! In exactly three weeks we'll be just about ready to be seated for the Frozen stage show at DHS. (Why I love FP+, makes the whole "in three weeks..." game even more fun!)

(Just gotta get through this last final!)

We have 2 deluxe studios waiting for us at the BWV !! Arriving on May 10th thru 16th !!
 
Talked to someone at Disney today and hopefully got the Magic Band issue worked out. They were "on hold" for some reason. She said she pushed them through and I should get a tracking number soon. So relieved. I would have had one upset 4 year old if she had to wear a grey band! :D

I'm still having the same issue....sigh....mine weren't on hold for any reason they couldn't see anything wrong with our bands but I still haven't received them in spite of 4 phone calls and an expedite order that was suposedly submitted a week ago today. Tuesday when I called they said the expedite order didn't go in until Sunday so who knows what is going on. Different story every time I call the only constant answer I get is nothing is holding up the bands and call back in a week. seems like I've been getting the run around and they possibly need to recheck what 'shipping soon' and 'expedite' means. I'm pretty much at a loss :sad2:Crossing my fingers for you!

I have been trying. Since the first of January I have lost just over 25 pounds. Have been hitting the gym 3 or 4 times a week, cutting back on the junk food. Had to buy new shorts for Dinsey, down two sizes but I really don't see the lost weight on myself.

25 pounds that's awesome! I've been working out since October, and while I am getting faster and stronger I am pretty sure I'm the same weight, lol!

I was eating healthier because of gallbladder problems, but it came out last week ... So I may be able to eat some junk again, not sure yet. One thing I am worried about is if I'll be allowed to do roller coasters or not by the time I get there! I see the surgeon a week before I leave so I'll ask then... Fingers crossed!

Mine moved from , "hurry these could ship amy moment" to, "these are being customized and will ship soon". If Monday rolls around with no tracking number I am calling back. But hopefully it will go smoothly now. I hope you are able to get your situation straight. It sucks to have to fight with them about something that they should have been able to take care of with one phone call. Have you asked to talk to a manager or supervisor after they give you the call back in a week spiel or are you getting the run around from a supervisor/manager?
 


Our magic bands came today! It's starting to feel real! Now all we're waiting on is the ME tags.

Well, I called last night and was more or less told that is my fault that they were delayed. lol BTW, still haven't received ANYTHING, no email confirmation nor bands in the mail today. Anyway, because I called on 4/9 and an expedite ticket was opened the order was then moved to another queue and closing the initial order for the MB's. She was going to send it up to management so they can check into it and call me back.....I haven't been called either. Funny, when I mentioned that it would be just nice to know when they are coming (our mail has been stolen before by some neighborhood kids, specifically something that was shipped from amazon not paper mail-they dont want that stuff lol) so that I can make arrangements to go home and get them etc. and 2-everytime i have called there is no reason for the hold up that anyone can see. It would be nice to know why, is a certain color not avail. etc. Then I got the spiel how they are made by a 3rd party in TN (already knew this) and I can't contact them, so I ask ok, then can someone there (as in the call center) contact them?......there was silence, apparently they can not.

So, I'm done calling, we found our old bands and if they never come (which I have a feeling that won't until after we have left) we are going to attempt to clean off all of the old nail polish and decorate our old bands for this year. She also told me not to do that because it blocks the RFID chip anyway, I said hmmm, well we did this last year with no issues so I think we are fine.....:rolleyes2 Looks like my bands still say this: Your MagicBand order is being personalized. Check back soon for shipping details. It has always said I am pretty sure, I didn't notice until yesterday that the message changes from personalized to customized or vice versa so I didn't really pay attention to that. I'll just wait until the day before we leave and link up our old bands, glad we found them! We are surprising DD who is 2.5 and she LOVES and talks about Disney World all the time. We haven't told her we are going but we are counting down to a 'big surprise' and when we get close to the the entrance we were going to give her a bag of some items with her Mickey bracelet (aka magic band ) so she can put it on and then she gets her big surprise. I did find out from a friend on facebook that she has seen some others mention the same type of issue on facebook not receiving their bands and supposedly it was because some colors may be on backorder. Not sure if that is really the case or something someone made up lol Anyway, I hope you get yours soon!!! Sending lots of pixie dust your way! we are going to start painting our old ones tonight. And sooooo excited to start packing our junk this weekend

Eh, it seems the majority here aren't having issues. I think most people have been posting their bands have shipped in between 3-7 days after the customization window ends. I wouldn't get concerned unless you don't see it move for several days and you notice others start posting they have received shipping confirmations. when are you traveling?


Something me and dh were talking about last night that seems a little absurd is the how the band orders disappear or close in their system once they expedite the order. That seems to be the time they NEED to see what is going on. Anyway, just a thought.

It was not long after we saw they were being customized that we got an email with tracking saying they were shipped

We're set to arrive on the 15th. I tried looking to see what it says about my bands but it doesn't seem like the webpage is working at the moment.
