We are thinking of renting a BLT studio, standard view is fine, would like floors 2 to 5 if possible. I am not a person who likes high floors, but would still want a balcony.

Could someone describe the bathrooms in the studio?
One toilet?
One shower/tub combo?
One sink ?

Could you fit a cot in the room even if you pull out the sofa bed ?
DD & DS do not sleep together.

Thank you :)

You could try to put a blow up mattress by the door. Or possibly even in the kitchenette. They do not provide "cots".

The studios are a little on the cramped side, but you could definitely put a blow up mattress by the door...not sure if full size would fit, but twin size would. And I think the kitchenette area is nicer than other studios I've been in. I think all studios have a balcony, except if you are on the ground floor and that would have a patio. The smallness of the room is compensated, in my opinion, by what you see out of your sliding door. Even if you have a parking lot view, there is a lot of open space and lots going on. If you are on the lake side, there is still lots to see from the balcony. If you are a family that won't spend lots of time in the room, you will be fine. So close to the Magic Kingdom and the monorail....so many places to get to very easily.

Good luck and enjoy your planning and visit.

We had a standard view and while we looked out at the parking lot we also had a great view of the monorail, the castle/magic kingdom, and the Contemporary.

I do not think the kitchenette is wide enough for a twin mattress, but agree the hallway is. I do think there may also be room at the foot of the bed. It will be difficult to use the restroom in the middle of the night, if that's required.

Just so you know standard view studios are generally gone very soon after the 11 month window so unless you set up with an owner before then plan on points for a lakeview studio instead.

Thank you for all your help.
Yes we would plan a year in advance
No need for a lake view

Last time we stayed at the CR, from the tower, the floor right above Chef Mickeys, we had a view of the front entrance if you looked down, but if you looked across we saw the monorail, space mtn & MK fire works in the distance. Not to bad for a standard room.

We loved CR.
Can the DVC guests use all the pools?
The DVC pool and the CR main pools?

Thanks!

There are two showers. One bathroom has a toilet, tub/shower (as pictured) and sink. The other has a sink and a big walk-in glass shower. At least my room in Moorea two weeks ago was like that.

This setup is at VGF and Poly. Not at BLT or any other studio. The bathroom pictures I posted are it.

DVC Owners are entitled to pool hopping privileges. Renters are not entitled to any DVC Member perks.
I think the OP meant the pools at both BLT and main CR (not at other disney resorts)-if so the answer is yes-BLT guests can use all the amenities of CR as they are considered part of CR the same way that VWL, BCV, etc are considered part of their respective resorts.

BLT guests can use pools at both BLT and CR.

Be careful about setting up a bed in front of the main doorway, though. Make sure there is still room to swing the door to the hallway open in case there is, God forbid, a fire or other emergency and you need to make a quick exit.

Our DS & DD do not sleep together.
But BLT seems like the best DVC to rent to be close to MK and convenient to EPCOT, our favorite parks.

DH was even thinking not to get a park-hopper ticket ;)

It might be easier to just bring 2 twin air mattress or make the smaller child sleep on the couch rather than pull out the sleeper.

We had a Standard studio on the first floor, looking into the C. There was very little walking space once the sleeper is pulled out. The coffee table/ottoman just fits between the two beds, just enough room to pull out the dresser drawers. Entry way had enough room for our double stroller and a large cooler, with about a 2ft wide walking space.

That's an excellent idea. My son has never liked sleeping on the DVC pull out couches and this year I have thought about just bringing a sleeping bag and setting him up on the regular couch every night. Would be easier to deal with instead of pulling it out every night and pushing it back in every morning. I love an organized neat room. :flower:

How "long" is the couch for sleeping?
Our DD is 5' 2" and 100 pounds - could she fit on the pull out couch without opening it?
That would be 62"
I looked up some full pull out couches - seem like they are 73" long. True size ?
So would our DD be OK to sleep on the couch?

Our DS is 6' - he could use the twin size blow-up mattress

What a nice idea if my DD can sleep on the pull out couch with out it opened !

CR is so convenient to our favorite parks - MK & EPCOT
Yes I did mean just the pools at the CR.

What I hated about our BLT sleeper sofa was that it seemed to slope downward, making it hard to sit on or lie on.
