Hello. Just got back this morning from 3days in villa.
Moorea 1010. Standard veiw.

Lots of noise and trucks and workers.

Lava pool open the whole time. And hot tub great addition.

Any questions I will try and answer.

Hello Corvair,
I hope you had a great trip. pixiedust:
I'm thinking of staying in a standard view studio in Nov. How was the view from your room? Would you recommend staying there since the construction is still going on?

Thanks:flower1:

We had a pretty good trip. Thanks.

I don't think I would stay again until the construction is done.

When that is done. The veiw would be ok. You will look at gardens and I think the place where they are building the little grill area. At least I think that is what it is going to be. It is right in the middle of the 3villa buildings

I did ask when everything would be finished and they said July.

The quiet pool was open. But they were getting ready to start redoing that.

For me. I am not sure the rooms are worth the points I used.
I think if I did stay again. I would spend the extra points for a lake veiw.

The standard veiw will be very quiet and peaceful if you like that.

I will say the room had no dresser. The first thing my sister said. Where do I put my clothes. There was a little draw on each see of the bed.
The little pull down bed is where there would of been a dresser.

Having two showeres was nice. But half of the room was bathroom. We used the pullout coach. So there was not much space after that.

I talked to a lot of people staying in the villas. Not all but most felt kind of like me. They rushed having them ready and that they should of put more time and thought into the rooms.

I always loved the poly. The construction really does take away from the beauty of the resort.
When finished it will be great.

And they said should be done in July. At least that is what the person at the DVC stand in the lobby said.

Thanks for the update. I have seen video of the studios and the bathrooms look very big. I just hope the construction will end soon.

No they have 2 showers and 2 sinks. But one toilet.

I wondered what would be sacrificed to put in 2 bathrooms. Murphy bed sounds like how they did it in the moderates, with some rooms. Murphy bed takes place of dresser. Don't think I'd like that.
We aren't DVC so booked a standard room in August. I guess when they start construction on East pool construction will be worse. I'm hoping all the bulldozing is done by late August!!

Did you go to Trader Sam's? The patio sounds fun with live entertainment.
Was it hard to get a lounge by the nanea pool? Have you heard if they were adding more umbrellas? And did you see if they were checking bands at pool gates?
How was the beach view for Wishes?

Did not go to trader SAMs. Tried but the wait 2 times I tried was an two hours. I did try around 5:30. So guessing that is a busy time.

We didn't find it hard to find lounges. There were always some open. They were not checking bands. And you did not need your band to get into the lava pool.

Sorry didn't watch wishes on the beach. Watched them at the park.

There weren't many umbrellas. Didn't hear anything if they were adding any.

Do you know what the extent of the construction will be by the quiet pool. We are staying there late June and were thinking of staying in Hawaii but only garden view is available and I'm worried about the noise and having to look at some major construction.

I don't know for sure but from my trip. Hawaii I was looking right at green fencing. They had the walk way blocked from the standard veiw over to the lava pool.
It was pretty tore up. Looked like they were tearing up the landscaping. Maybe it will be done by June.
At least that part. Pretty sure there will be green fencing around quiet pool though.

The construction was loud. We still had a good time. But I don't think I would go back till it's done.
The hot tub was really nice. And for me lava pool no different. But now the waterfall very small compared to before.

Not sure the extent of work on the quiet pool.
Hope this helps

That does help. Thank you. I am more concerned with the noise I think...... we may have to stick to a garden view away from construction. Hmmm??? I'll have to think about it some more.

Yes the other side of the marina or the buildings looking at the lava pool would be ok.

WHAAAAAAT???????

No drawers to store your drawers? Seriously? Some if the most expensive rooms on property and they expect you to live out of your suitcase for the duration? Who in their right mind thinks that's a good idea? Frankly this pretty much cements my previous impression of the Poly villas, from other reviews. Think I'll be scratching this from my list of resorts to try.

How you would you feel putting 5 adults in the room like they say can fit? Based on what you said, seems like it would be really right.
