My family and I are huge Disney fans and are going to be staying at Cabana Bay in October,
prior to going on a Disney cruise. We are not going to the Universal Parks, but are interested
in possibly going to Citywalk. Just wanting some basic info about it, does it cost to go there,
what restaurants and stores are available? Is it kid friendly at night? Thanks in advance for all the information!

www.citywalk.com
then click orlando.

you can check the menus, prices, restaurant hours, etc.

city walk closes at 2 am

on the above site it will list the places that have a cover charge after 9 pm for the restaurants involved.
Rising Star also has a cover charge in the late evening.

anyone can buy the CW party pass which allows free entry to all places after 9pm.

Since you're staying at Cabana Bay, it won't cost any money to visit CityWalk. They have shuttles to take you there, or you can walk (it's a bit far, though).

There's a great movie theater, two really fun golf courses, shops, restaurants and clubs. Sometimes they have entertainment down by the lagoon.

You don't say how old your family is.........Citywalk is a fun place both for families and adults.......

Mini golf is excellent. The theming on both courses is very good...............the ghostly side is particularly fun when it's dark.

Clubs are fun too if family is older.

There is a food sticky at the top of this forum that has menus from Citywalk, parks and hotel restaurants. You have plenty of choice.

No cover charge if you stay onsite, right?

if you are talking about city walk, some of the places have a cover charge once it is 9:00 pm.
the ones i have been to that has the charge were Bob Marley, Rising Star, Pat O'Briens
that is due to those places having live music/bands at 9:00 pm

there are some park tickets that include the free city walk party pass.
if you have that, you don't pay any cover charge.
the premier ap includes the city walk party pass.

i have bought the party pass in city walk before.
i used to have it included in my preferred ap, but that benefit was dropped 2-3 years back.

places that just have dining and no live music, do not impose a cover charge.

HRCafe, bubba gump, etc i have been to after 9 in the evening do not have cover charges.

staying onsite doesn't get you out of paying a cover charge at the 3 places i listed above.

i pulled up city walk and most of the places on the list do not have cover charges.

Good to know. I was thinking of possibly going dancing later at night (doubtful since DH is usually too tired) so this is very helpful.

Citywalk is basically the shopping/dining/entertainment area between both parks, you walk through Citywalk from the parking garages and the bus/drop off areas to reach the parks so just walking through Citywalk is absolutely free except the parking fee at the garages. Some of the clubs do have cover charges after a certain hour some days which they sell some passes that include them as well as some other passes like dinner and a movie passes. From Cabana Bay you can take a bus over or walk over which is about a 25-30 minute walk.
