I just tried to book pbv for 7month window. I was selecting what points to use then all of a sudden Im on the home page. And now Saturday the 7th is gone. Any recourse what so ever?
Nope. That seems to happen when you grab a "phantom" room. Someone else grabbed it just before you did, but the system didn't update in time.I just tried to book pbv for 7month window. It's been happening since Poly rolled out online. I don't remember ever having this problem before. Makes me hesitant to trying to hold a room and cancel an existing reservation on another computer!

It's been going on for at least a few months before that. I tried to get a VGF reservation for October 2015 at 8am on the dot 11 months out and it happened to me. There is a thread on this very topic on here somewhere...
I don't know anything about coding, but did find the ad blocker feature in my browser. I wonder if that feature blocks all pop ups? It seems to do that for me. Anyway, maybe the booking engine uses those somehow. Just a guess and I am OK if it turns out to be a stupid one. Coding is definitely no longer my area of expertise - I learned FORTRAN and later, COBOL and haven't used either since 1975.I agree with KAT re: some kind of timer in the code. I had a similar but different problem that caused me to get kicked out during booking at exactly 90 seconds. I tested it multiple times and it always happened 90 seconds in to the booking process. In my case disabling an ad blocker in my browser fixed the problem. But it left me wondering what the heck the code is doing 90 seconds into the booking process that conflicts with an ad blocker to the point that it kicked me back to the starting point.

Hm, interesting. I shall have to try disabling my ad blocker as well. This timing out is really irritating and just really sloppy of DVC's web developers to let this kind of problem persist.I don't know anything about coding, but did find the ad blocker feature in my browser. They really seem to be struggling with IT. There was a time when they were leaders - remember the EPCOT World Showcase dining system way back when? Not just the DVC online system doing this. Had the same problem with the Disney dining online system the day BOG opened reservations for lunch. I would select my ADR time, and by the time I selected all of my guest's names for the reservation, I would be kicked out to start over. Watched as all of the ADR's slipped away You would think that Disney could create a system that works for their customers.

As an aside, I was just lurking but then had to write this reply after Carol mentioned FORTRAN and COBOL hah! I'm not quite that age, but seeing those reminded me of how PASCAL was my first programming language.
