Considering taking 4year old granddaughter.

I do believe most resorts have an extra fee for a 3rd adult in a room, but it shouldn't be more than $25 or so I wouldn't think.

I went with my 3.5 year old last Nov. We found for schedules it worked best to be there at park open and go until we were tired (after dinner) since leaving was a lot of work with a stroller and catching the bus. The night we wanted to do the fireworks we still did park open (best time to not have lines) and left around 5 and came back right before the fireworks, like 7-8ish. It was a long night and Im sure we enjoyed the fireworks more than her! lol. Get a fp for the princess meet and great at fairytale hall (with Cinderella and Rapunzel) so you don't have to wait. Also doing a princess lunch was really fun, we did both CRT and Akershus and really liked them both!

Getting even better, now it's Me, DW, DD, DD (mommy) and DG so I will get a suite at art of animation.
Will need the extra room.
Everyone's very excited....

You seem like just the best grandpa! My 5 yo daughter and her grandpa are also very close and your relationship reminds me of theirs, but he's not really the "Disney type" haha. Sienna is such a lucky girl that you are putting so much thought into making this special for her!

My daughter and I went on our first trip last year and we stayed at Pop Century in a preferred room so we could be close to the main building and the busses. I don't know if this is an option at AoA, but I would recommend upgrading to preferred if it's available just for the convenience of proximity to those places.

I would also highly recommend renting a stroller unless she has a high end one that you are bringing with you. My daughter hadn't used one for over 2 years before we went and it was just invaluable for us. You know what the walking is like from your previous visits, plus the extra storage space was handy. The rented strollers are VERY comfortable, the handling is great, and they fold up with one hand. I don't think an umbrella stroller would have cut it for us.

The character meals were so great. We hardly waited in line to meet any characters because she had already met or was going to meet them at a meal. We did both princess meals and Akershus at Epcot was our favorite. Garden Grill in Epcot with Mickey, Pluto, Chip, and Dale was the little's favorite from the whole trip. If Sienna is into Disney Jr., then the breakfast or lunch at Hollywood and Vine at Hollywood Studios would be great for her. We got lots of time with Sofia, Doc McStuffins, Handy Manny, and Jake. At all of the character meals the atmosphere was more relaxed than a meet and greet and we saw all characters multiple times.

I would definitely look into the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique. I took the little to the castle location in MK and she had the. best. time. It was quite busy and chaotic, but she really felt special. She still uses the little backpack she got there to carry her things for dance class. Just make sure you bring a princess dress from home or one purchased at the Disney Store unless you want to shell out an unreasonable amount of money for one there!

Take a look at Disney's floral company's website. I ordered a Halloween package to be delivered to our resort the day we arrived with an autograph book/pen, a couple Halloween themed trinkets, balloons, and lots of sweets for ~$100. Even if you're not visiting in the fall, they most likely will have a different package that would work for you!

Whatever you do, this sounds like and amazing trip! Keep us updated!

41 days! Just paid all the bills.
DW (Nana), Myself (Bunk), DD (Kim), and the star of this trip GD (Sienna who turned 4 yesterday)
We tested Sisi out this summer at 6 Flags NE, Canobie Lake Park, Santas Village, Story Land, A couple of waterparks.... ( I know, shes spoiled )
I got to see her endurance, Saw a couple of meltdowns.... ( she is 4... )
She actually did very well. Meet & Greets were great. She ran right up to everyone and hugged them. Rode all the rides she could at 39". No fear that I've seen yet. Did the flume multiple times, it has a good size drop at the end. Even went on " the Mine of Lost Souls " A dark scary ride. I'm thinking she will have no problem with HM... Now IASW is another story, that one scares the heck out of me..... Our first trip with a child soo it will be a new experience seeing it through their perspective. really looking forward to it.

Nice job planning! Yes, I would make HS a 1/2 day park. We do the same thing. You can always adjust if you find that your GD wants more park time.

good thing I did FP at midnight. By the next morning all Anna & Elsa passes were gone for the whole week. I did release one of the 3 I had booked due to aa timing conflict with hoopdi dee do. Also notice a little regressing on Sienna part. Just turned 4 on Saturday. She has been having peeing accidents. At night and some during the day... Also meltdowns are more often. Gets very angry. Has to be left alone for 5 min. To recompense herself. Have learned there is no point talking to her during this time. DD. Had mentioned this but it never occurred At Nana and bunkys house. Nothing I think is unusual for a 4 year old. I will bring a pad we use under her sheets at home and put it on her bed at Disney. Just in case. Should I bring sheets or how is room service if there is an accident in the middle of the night.
We will also watch her and be prepered for any meltdowns.

My parents took my son to Disneyworld (from the UK) when he was 23 months and again at 6, and he LOVED it. He has always had a very close relationship with them and it was amazing for them all. I wasn't able to go because of work commitments and I am so happy that they had a great time. It sounds like your daughter feels like I did, that she will just be happy that Sienna is happy! I am taking both of my children (will be 3 and 8 when we go) plus my parents are coming too, for 2 of our 3 weeks. I have waited until the timing was right for a real trip of a lifetime, and next year is that time. I don't begrudge my son the 2 times he has been, or wish I had been the first to take him because Disney is experienced differently at 2, 6, 8, 15 etc and I have always known that for me it would be one and done (I have been many, many times as a child myself) because I like to travel to different countries with the kids rather than back to the same place again. So it would have just stopped him experiencing him at those younger ages if I had insisted he wait for me to take him. I think your idea is awesome and that you should definitely go ahead!
