First things first, I want to wish our Chief Bacon Officer and his better half a great trip. Have fun storming the castle!! May the future have great things in store for you.

Busy couple of days. The Brit, another couple, the Pirate Princess and I head to Belize on Thursday. Lot of stuff to pack to get ready and right now we are ahead of the game. Highlight of the trip (hopefully) is to dive with Whale Sharks. Planning and paying started 18 months ago and I can't believe it is finally here. The kid is peeing her pants excited about it...

Have a great trip and enjoy. Maybe the Pirate Princess can find a way to work that into a graduate internship somehow and save you some cash.

'Morning all...
Our young'en should be headed home from school this evening. That's gonn'a make his momma right happy for a few days. Need to have his car looked over while he's here, so that will make my wallet less happy, but it'll jut have to get over it...

Always good to have the momma happy!

Welcome!

This could be a winner. One of the grandmas makes really yummy Brussels Sprouts but we're not sure what her plans are for Easter (yet).

Yummy and Brussels Sprouts should not be used in the same sentence unless it is "I ate something yummy, unlike Brussels Sprouts."

I will go ahead and wish everyone a happy early Easter as we are headed north to the vacation :headache: home and I won't have any internet access until we return. Im looking forward to the trip since my folks are coming down. DD and my dad share the same birthdate (67 years apart) so they get to celebrate together this weekend. party:

Hollywood Studios. Word on the streets said that I have one waiting for me.
Have fun storming the castle.
I follow that recipe very closely except I throw out the brussels sprouts.
You don't know what you're missing.

Welcome from Lord Goliath. I'm hoping to have my phone fixed shortly.
Welcome Will!

Maybe I need to download clash of clans and join the fun over there. Never played it before. I've been playing Game of War, but I'm about bored with it. I got hypnotized by Kate Upton's bouncing :goodvibes:goodvibes on the TV commercials, but that is definitely the highlight of that game.
Its a lot more fun to play CoC than Game of War. Its no where near as confusing as Game of War.

A beautiful day outside. Started in the 40s. Made it into the 70s. I hope Spring is finally here.

We're hosting dinner at our house. I am looking for a bacon inspired side. I've done bacon green beans the past 2 holidays so if anyone has a legit recipe to share, please send my way!

Did you try my wrapped bacon & green bean recipe?

That sounds like a great trip. I hope she's learned not to pee in her pants by now. :lmao:

Welcome. Dues are payable in dole whip, beer, bacon, or cake. You mail 800 to me and I distribute to all the guys.

I'm a bourbon drinker as well, here in the heart of bourbon country. I like Makers, but didn't like the 46 as much as the regular. Basil Hayden is one of my favorites. I think I'm going to take Four Roses for a run next month. And, by run, I mean sit on the couch and drink bourbon.

Here's a tale of RV whoa that some of you might find interesting. All in all, eight different and distinct isssues that screamed "QUALITY CONTROL". The only thing i could say was i hoped that with all this found and fixed before their first trip that they could now look forward to many many miles of carefree driving. I shall however, not hold my breath.

Yeah, DW wants the camper or RV. I'd just rather drive and stay in nice hotels. Now, living in a camper in front of CJ's house is still a great retirement plan.

I will go ahead and wish everyone a happy early Easter as we are headed north to the vacation :headache: home and I won't have any internet access until we return. Im looking forward to the trip since my folks are coming down.

And a Happy Easter to you as well. Have a safe trip.

Is that the game with the tv commercial with the hot girl in the white dress with the two big cannons? :goodvibes:goodvibes

That is one of my favorite commercials.

It's been snowing since this afternoon. I am so fed up with this friggin' winter. I can't get out of this place fast enough. New Jersey is not supposed to have six months of winter. I leave that to our Canadian neighbors.

As a former member of the Army Field Artillery community (from the civilian R&D side) I can assure you that those two cannons wouldn't last two minutes on any battlefield.:smooth:

Welcome aboard, young man!
Now tell me more about this Clash of Clans you speak of! I think my nephew was trying to coerce me into playing that.

Did you try my wrapped bacon & green bean recipe?
I did not. Only b\c I did bacon\green bean combos the past 2 holidays. Although after looking closely at it, I may just make it separate from our holiday gatherings. Although I didn't see the alleged photos of them.

Good evening gentlemen.

Spring break is now here. Looks like I'll be crazy busy for the next 7 days. I hope the case of Red Bull I bought will be enough.

Today I found Peanut sitting on the curb crying. She wanted to shoot hoops with some older boys and they wouldn't let her. She now knows the word "jerks" and I'm trying to squeeze a basketball hoop into the budget. I was going to day something to the boys but, knowing their dad, I knew it would be a wasted effort. Two are close enough in age that high school could get interesting. I will teach her the Klingon proverb about revenge being best served cold.

CJ, have a good trip.

Basically you are continually building onto a village while attacking and getting attacked by other villages. You join clans to fight other clans and mutual protection.

Another option is to wrap prosciutto around 3-5 asparagus spears and sprinkle with olive oil. You can bake in the oven at 400 for 15 minutes or grill in zone 2 for about 12 minutes. Make sure any seasoning you use does not have salt.

Hey Mike, do you know what day it is?

April Fool's day of course......what did you think I was going to say?

She will have plenty of opportunity for revenge in high school and college.

So we've had an eventful morning so far. DS's bus was running 20 minutes late. He walked back to my car to ask if I'd just drive him, and then the bus went by without stopping.... That added 45 minutes to my morning commute.

Made it to work to receive a frantic call from DW because our HVAC inspector was there and the paperwork was missing... When they found the paperwork and then did the inspection, the system failed because there's a gap in the flashing... It's just barely 9am, so I can't see what the rest of the day has in store. Unfortunately none of this stuff is an april fools joke.

'Morning all...
My but we got talkative yesterday. It's been a little while since I've saw that much chatter 'round here.

I missed where Randall was transitioning and headed off to WDW.
Enjoy the diversion sir and have extra Dole Whips when ever possible.
And good luck on the change in direction.

I follow that recipe very closely except I throw out the brussels sprouts.

The quickest way to improve any recipe would be to remove the Brussels Sprouts.

+1 :thumbsup2 Nicely done. I like putting the word "promotion" in there, but it works just as well with "retirement".

There a number of concepts that "used" to be possible but are no longer that will fit into that little speech.

My in-laws have been there since the end of Feb and they had someone drive their van down for them. FIL won't drive back so I get to go down for a few days and drive him back while MIL flies back.

You a good son in law, there.
Plan to stop any where interesting along the way?

Good deal, always nice when they come home especially for the moms. Ours arrives back home Thursday night and will be nice fro Mom daughter time as the fiance, did I really just type that, stationed out in San Diego ain't around for her to hang with. Feel bad for her but will be nice for the Holiday as we are having a house full of family & friends Sunday. Enjoy having the boy home.

Yep, she's quite tickled to have the boy in the house foe a few days.
letting go has been a bit of a struggle.

Glad your young'en is doing so well.
y'all have way more going on right now. I don't envy you the mixture or work and potential drama to come.
As of now, we don't see similar issue on our horizon. At least not in the near.

Welcome to Hanging House. Not to worry, everyone is equal in my eye...

Oh wait... wrong movie...
I mean: welcome to the club house, sir.
Grab a beer from the fridge and a hand full of bacon form the snack bar and join in the conversation.

Is it just me or is this guy's Occupation and Favorite Food somehow connected?

:lmao:

Here's a tale of RV whoa that some of you might find interesting. My two cousins (brothers) traded in their aging Winnebago Class C for a brand spanking new Forest River Berkshire 2015 38 footer (actually 39.5). They are avid Disneyphiles and charter members of the DVC. They use the motorhome for their trips from South Jersey. So, i saw them on Saturday at a birthday party and was given the following tail (I know I spelled it wrong, but i'm just a dog). When they brought the RV home and were showing it off to family, the one brother's daughter was sitting on the living room side looking at the kitchen (they had all three slides extended). She says, 'oh look, a light bar to illuminate the floor at night'. Wrong. It was sunlight coming through the gap created because someone forgot to install the seal that wiped the bottom of the slide as it moved. Back to the dealer. It rapid succesion they had a furnace fail, and i won't bore you with the details of installing a wrong replacement, reinstalling the failed unit, trying to pass it off as a new one, and then figuring out it was a bad circuit card. A big leak in the cold water distribution manifold came next, then issues with the headlight/foglight control switches and an interesting glitch that caused the radio to cut out and the rear view camera to come on when the brake pedal was depressed. All in all, eight different and distinct isssues that screamed "QUALITY CONTROL". The only thing i could say was i hoped that with all this found and fixed before their first trip that they could now look forward to many many miles of carefree driving. I shall however, not hold my breath.

Yikes!
Apparently they should'a just kept the one they already had.
I wouldn't mind haveing a Class-C myself, but there are a lot of other things that take priority just now.

Always good to have the momma happy!

Yes... yes it is.

Yummy and Brussels Sprouts should not be used in the same sentence unless it is "I ate something yummy, unlike Brussels Sprouts."

This...

You don't know what you're missing.

Mostly bitterness I do believe.

Still get to be dad and help fix the car. Have fun spending time with DS. You all doing anything fun for Spring Break?

We'll do some family visiting for the holidays, but there not a lot else planed just now.
DW doesn't have any time off, and I actually have to work a bit Sunday morning so we can't really go too far afield. We're saving every thing up for the cruise in May. Mostly, for him, this short break will just be about chillin' and not being at school for a few days.

Hmm, both those guys used two very round, very jiggly smiley faces when referring to that particular commercial. Very Freudian....

That's pretty much the official club sanctioned smiley.
It should probably be made official.

May that foolishness stop and do so quickly.
Way too many problem for one morning.

Have fun storming the castle.

Welcome from Lord Goliath. I'm hoping to have my phone fixed shortly.

Its a lot more fun to play CoC than Game of War. Its no where near as confusing as Game of War.

Hey Lord Goliath - good to get to talk on a forum other than the clan wall. Get your phone fixed asap - we need the help in wars!

Brettcw - you should definitely check out CofC. Like Twin Dad mentioned, you just create a village via gold mines and elixir and build your defenses up which attacking/being attacked by others. It's pretty simple compared to other games; especially Game of War. However, the eye candy is 1/100th less than the Kate Upton commercial.. :smooth:

Is there anywhere interesting to stop?

Given a drive of about 1800 miles, I suspect there might be.
Sort'a depends on your route, the amount of time you have to spare, and what might peek both y'alls interests as to what that may be though.

If it is the same route as last time we will follow the 95 north as far as Fredericksburg and then go west until we hit the 81. Follow that north through Pennsylvania before heading east again around Scranton on the 84. We pick the 95 up again in Mass.

Back to downtime at work. Done by 8:30 AM. Finished some podcasts. Think I'll go grocery shopping and call it a day. Tennis moves back to outdoor tonite. Looking forward to it.

I did not. Only b\c I did bacon\green bean combos the past 2 holidays. Although after looking closely at it, I may just make it separate from our holiday gatherings. Although I didn't see the alleged photos of them.

I took them at one point. I probably deleted them. They are good. The only trick is to watch how thick you wrap the bundles. Too much bacon will result in it not being cooked. It's more work, but I'll cut bacon in half and roll 3 or 4 beans. I've also fried the bacon a few minutes each side before rolling.

Today I found Peanut sitting on the curb crying. She wanted to shoot hoops with some older boys and they wouldn't let her. I bought a cheap one at Walmart and have it anchored with water in the mobile base. It is still at 9 feet. I play against both my dds, and they kept the score close until they started fighting. My knee hurts too bad to spin anymore.

This has been a terribly trying Lent. Hope it gets better soon.

.

Same here. I'll drive the dds to visit my parents next week and maybe to Opry Mills for a shopping day with DW. I'll let Philip & Mike know specifics so they can avoid that end of town. :lmao:
