Just joined the group, planning Sept 24-Oct 4 2016, no need to add me to the roll call yet haha The info on this page has been SO helpful! Am I correct in thinking that my best bet to be close to OPR and buses without booking a preferred room would be Jamaica or Aruba?

Jamaica 45, Aruba 51, Martinique 21, 22 and 23 are the closest non-preferred locations to OPR and the main pool. Every village has its own bus stop, so you are never going to be far from one.

Hi I have a question. Are the pull down bunks at CB meant for small children? We would need to use it for our 13 year old dd. How comfortable is it?

Disney advertises them as being for kids 11 and under. But we have had our niece sleep on the one at POR when she was 12, 13 and 14. The bed itself is 63" x 30". As far as comfort, she said it was not bad. The mattress is just a tad bit thicker than a crib mattress.

Yes, Aruba and Jamaica are the closest standard rooms to OPR. I would push for Jamaica as your 1st choice and Aruba the 2nd. The problem with Aruba is that you have to make a choice between being close to the bridge (to OPR) or being close to the bus stop as they are opposite each other. Jamaica is also better because all buses stop at Jamaica before Aruba.

Last week, I was initially assigned Jamaica 42 at check in but pushed for something closer to the bridge and was given Jamaica 44. IMHO, 44 is 2nd best after 45 for being close to both the bus stop and bridge.

You're going to love CBR.

Thanks so much! I'm sure I will too, especially with the refurbished rooms!

If it were just me I'd totally request something as close as possible to the bridge, but we have 4 different rooms on 4 different reservations so I might not be able to be that picky lol We don't really have anyone with mobility issues, so as long as were all in the same section we can make do.

I would say they compare to sleeper sofas in hotels comfort wise. Does your daughter complain about those?

My 17 year old son who is 5'11" slept on the murphy bed for an entire week and didn't complain about it. He had the option of using a airbed we packed or sharing the queen bed with his little sister but he wanted the murphy bed. Not all kids have the same tolerance levels for uncomfortable beds so it will depend upon yours. My kids argued over who would get it.

How big was your air mattress? That may be a good option - for us to bring ours as a back up plan. She often sleeps in sofa beds and has recently started complaining about those.

We didn't use ours fortunately so I can't comment on how it fit into the room. It's a standard twin size.

Just completed online check-in. Arriving Saturday with my 9 year old son. Any one else ? Would love to meet up by the pool since weather looks great for the upcoming week

If you check out the Beach Bum Roll Call on page 2, it looks like they'll be 8 other DIS members there with you.

Geez, it seems like forever since I have been on these threads. 3 months is a long time! :) I have stayed at CBR a couple of times but, I have never seen pictures of a room with a king sized bed. I looked at the beginning of the thread and all I saw was the two queens. Maybe I am blind but, I don't think so. Does anyone have a picture of a room with a king bed? We are finally getting to go for food & wine and my birthday! Just hubby and I this time and a king bed would be great. Thanks in advance for anyone willing to share a photo of the room!!

I don't know to post pictures from our computer, but the King Rooms seem almost huge...I know, one less bed. Plenty of room with just the King Bed.

Thanks for the info! I don't know how to post them on here either. :) I have not been around much since they changed formats here. I was thinking that they would have much more room. Maybe someone else has a clue how to post a picture and ty for trying!

another question if anyone can help...I was showing my kids the photos of the new rooms...the 6yr old jumped with joy when he seen the new murphy bed...my 12yr old also was soo happy as he was telling us he no longer wants to sleep with his 6yr old brother. Perfect we thought...then I come to read that not all rooms have a murphy bed and you have to have 5 people to get one? is this correct?? can anyone enlighten me? I really dont want to book Alligator Bayou unless I have to as you know I love CBR...also dont want to go on the chance of a room request to get one as we all know we are not guaranteed them..UGH Help!

Unless you are a party of 5, a room with a Murphy Bed at CBR is only a request.
