The Most Random Thread Ever! The Randomness Continues

Yeah, Disney sequels haven't really impressed me that much. Cars 2 was a bit goofier, and Planes was just a dumbed-down or kiddier version of Cars, my family couldn't even make it completely through Planes. Little Mermaid 2 was okay, but I didn't like either Cinderella sequel, Little Mermaid 3, Brother Bear 2, and the Aladdin sequels were just kinda eh. Monsters University was okay but it didn't quite live up. I did however quite enjoy Lion King 1 1/2, it was great, and I never saw Lion King 2. And of course I liked the Toy Story sequels and the POTC sequels.
Agree with some, but of course some of them I haven't seen.

What about the Lilo and Stitch sequals? I don't remember which one, but one of them was a little good but the others I didn't like.

Also Kronk's New Groove (sequal to Emperor's New Groove) was ok-ish, but I don't know if it was needed.

Aaaaah. Happy April Fool's day, everybody.

I didn't see any of the Lilo and Stitch ones.

Yeah, Kronk's New Groove was okay.

OH my gosh, you guys HAVE to hear this awesome song! It's seriously one of the best songs I've ever heard! (and no, this is not a Rickroll, I promise, it's a song by Relient K, they're one of my favorite bands, just listen to it!)

Tomorrow (April 2nd) is Autism Awareness Day. Blue is our color if you are interested in supporting us

There was a snake in our garage today. Scary...

Oh, and I did wear blue, Perry.

In 1 week and 4 days I have to make my ADRs for my sweet 16 trip. Wow, the time coming up to the trip is really going by fast.

But on another note, I made ADRs for my trip in August a couple of days ago!

I preordered Florence + The Machine's new album and I got three of the songs and I LOVE THEM SO MUCH!

Does anyone else like Florence?

I'm starting to wonder if Elsa and Anna will ever become Disney Princesses. It's been over a year since the movie and they still haven't been cornated.

The Frozen franchise may stay its own thing since its so popular. I can see them making Anna an official Disney Princess. But not Elsa. She became a Queen in the movie, it wouldn't make sense to downgrade or demote her. Honestly, I'm not wondering or worried. It took them a long time to have Merida's coronation.

That's true maybe I shouldn't be so worried about Anna becoming a Disney Princess. Though now I'm not sure if Elsa will become one though since she is a queen and not a princess though Mulan isn't a princess either.

Did anyone else see the Descendants trailer.I felt like there is a lack of creativity with the kids names.Seriously it's like they had one minute to come up with these names.

Really people The Evil Queen's Daughter's name is Evie,Jafar's son's name is Jay,Cruella named her son Carlos and Maleficent named her daughter Mal.
And the lack of creativity continues with the good kids. Belle and Adam named their son Ben.

That's not even a french name. Mulan and Shang named their daughter Lonnie which is actually a German name.Aurura and Philip named their daughter Audrey.Dopey named his son Doug .And Cinderella named her kid Chad.

This seems like it is going to be awful.I read the comments and most people were like this is going to be awful.Though a few people said"Well it's not for adults it's for teenagers ."

As a teenager I feel that this is just awful.I also feel that the names for the Camp of Disney Rp are more creative then what Disney actually choose.

Sorry for the Page long comment I just had to get this off my chest.

I didn't see the trailer, I chose not to after reading the article Orreed shared with me on the YA thread.

Of course it's going to be awful. Horrible names, IMO, are not only awful but are one of the first clues that the character is badly or chees-ily characterized. And trust me, these are some cringe-worthy names, especially Mal, Evie and Lonnie. The only decent name is Jane, the fairy godmother's relative.

And the costumes! Disregarding how awful they look as a human being, as a costumer's perspective, they just look so uncomfortable, so out-of-place, so over-the-top, and ultimately too much like modern versions of the real characters' outfits. It's one thing to have touches and influences, another thing to overdo it. The guys' suits aren't that bad, it's the girls' dresses - no one dresses like that! Even in elaborate ball gown type of dresses, every part has a purpose. This has come from basically since humans have clothes, so fairytale times too, and you know what those people did? They didn't waste fabric! Fabric took ages to make. You had to take the cotton from the plant or the wool from the sheep or the silk from the silkworm and then you had to actually BY HAND make it into a more thread-y, accessible form (you also had to make the thread to sew with), and then you had to sew or weave the whatever you were making by hand unless you were lucky enough to have a weave to assist you, all without a pattern for a very long time. Standardized sizes, you know, S M L XL etc, weren't even in existence until the Civil War started and people needed to make soldier uniforms quickly. So those little frills and stuff with the fabric on the girls' dresses that have nothing to do with how the fabric moves or how the dress is worn - it just really bothers me.

I know the Camp of Disney thread s on a writing low because there's no real conflict going on because they're at Disney World, but all of the (Place) Of Disney RPs so far I am CERTAIN have better characterization, naming and plot than Descendants does. That's sad, Disney - you're getting out-done by a bunch of teenagers.

I don't even think Dionysus could save this and he's the Greek patron god of theatre! (I like mythology, plus I'm a theatre geek, don't judge me)

Agreed. When I first saw the costumes I was like "Okay this wasn't what I was expecting." The villains kids have this very interesting look.I heard someone even say it made them think of superheroes.

The clothes for the Good guys are a bit boring to me.In the trailer the son of Jafar Jay apparently steals stuff. My older sister said "That actually seems more like something Aladdin would do then Jafar.Maybe Jay is actually like Aladdin son or something."

The costumes for the girls are very rather odd .And I feel like I could do a better fan -fic with a similar premise in my sleep.

I also heard people compare this to Ever after High.I'm not sure rather you heard of it or not but Ever After High is a spin-off of Monster High which is a doll franchise. The story of Ever After High is that the children of fairytale characters have the choice to or not to follow their parent's destiny.

And even though it like the same same story almost.Ever After High did a better job with their characters names The daughter of The Evil Queen name is Raven. The daughter of Sleeping Beauty name is Briar.

I think this film is a disgrace to Disney .And I wish that they would rewrite it or destroy but it is too late.

When I first heard about this movie, I was so excited because it was based kind of off my (place) of Disney roleplays, but I went on a Buzzfeed article and I was dissappointed. I agree with pretty much everything you two said (although I think Evie is a pretty name, but cheesy for the daughter of the Evil Queen). And let me just point out that Aurora's daughter looks NOTHING like her and Mulan's daughter is freaking named a name that's not even a Chinese name and WHY THE FREAK DOES DOPEY HAVE A SON?! (pardon my French) and omg Dopey likes one of the evil kids *gasp!* To be honest I wonder how much they had to pay the actors/actresses to star in this movie.
