how crowded is Star Wars weekend

How crowded is it? We are arriving June 2 after getting marroed on the beach. Currently we planned on driving over june 2 from clearwater and was going to go to DHS. Trying to do afternoon touring and hollywood and vine. Maybe fantasmic. Or we thought of doing a non park day the first day and then do DHS on June 6. We don't fly out until 7 so we would have most the day.

Staying at BWV so we can just walk back and get on bus. There will be 7 of us. No available dining at h&v.

It's pretty busy but a lot of people will be concentrating on the SWW specific events and special character meets so everything normal is still generally able to be done. I believe that Saturday's are the busiest of the weekend. If you want the H&V Star Wars dinner you'll just need to keep checking the website. Those have been pretty booked up since they were announced several weeks ago.

It is busy! Most people going for those weekends are there 2 hours before the park opens and stay there all day. But you can call H&V directly. You have to do that with parties of 10 or more. I am not saying it will get you anything but it is worth a try.

wait, it's not busy, it's a mad house. last year we went on opening day and got there just as the park opened. within 20 min of park opening, there were people lining the streets for the parade that wasn't for another 2 hours! (and yes, we copped a squat and sat that long for the parade. if we didn't, we wouldn't have seen it. the side walks were about 6 people deep).
character meet & greets were about an hour long. use fast pass if you can and really map out what you want to do and have an alternate plan just in case you can't get to the stuff you want to. it was worth it for what we wanted to see but be prepared. the fans are hard core and will wait for whatever it is they want to see.

2 hours before??? Yikes!!

The people waiting ahead of time are either wanting to get the wrist bands to get celebrity autographs or are wanting to sign their kids up for JTA. Also, they have a SWW pre-show with Storm Troopers approx 1/2 hour before announced opening and lots of people like to see that. So the wait isn't to assure getting into the park - it's for getting or seeing SWW things. And yes, people will start picking out spots in the parade route mostly to get spots in the shade. It's probably the busiest you'll see DHS other than maybe NYE but as I mentioned the ones increasing the crowd size are there for specific SWW things. You don't really mention if you are looking to do any of that or not but other things can be done almost as easily as during any normal busy weekend at DHS but if you don't want QS for dining you do want to find something to book or keep checking for openings if you don't get something right away.

We are doing our first SWW June 6th weekend. I do want to sign up my son for the JTA, but I was thinking of maybe waiting til Monday to do that. The SWW stuff is only during the weekends right? They don't do all the special stuff during the weekdays do they?

That's correct, it's Fri-Sun for SWW although they are having the special SW meals during the week too. Monday will probably be much easier to get the sign up.

BE PREPARED. I waited with my DGS in his stroller for 90 minutes in the hot sun, without my hat for the stupid parade. Yep he was 4, and Yep he loved it, but I thought I would pass out. He had plenty of water and snacks, me, no water as I wouldn't drink his water...would I do it again, heck NO...although I am popping for the Star Wars breakfast with two older grandchildren this year. And made the ADR for during the parade...sly one I am.... We did do the H&V Star Wars dinner, with the Fantasmic package, but that was booked before they announced the SW fireworks...we had to run out of fantasmic to catch the fireworks, we had to stand at the park entrance as the streets were packed. Not going to try Fantasmic on the SW weekend, just catch the SW fireworks. I'm tired just writing this. We will be there on Saturday the 30th.

I'm taking my 5 year old. Just bummed I didn't know about booking ADR 180 days prior. Now star wars breakfast is booked. I have been checking every day at least 3-4 times per day! :( anyone else have luck with getting a late cancellation for that venue?

We have a party of 6 (in laws coming....they get us the military discount on park tickets).....and we got a saturday night reservation for 8:30. Yeah, it's late, but my kids are going to love it. Me.....I'm probably spending too much money....but they are only young once right?

Keep checking...the meals are now everyday so there is much more availability. Last year it was only the weekends. Me, like a dummy picked a Saturday...oh well, it'll be crazy but fun. There is a breakfast and dinner.

For those you you waiting for some of the special Star Wars Character meals, I know a lot of people have multiple reservations booked and are waiting for the final schedules to be released by Disney before canceling. So keep checking. The meals are available during the week as well, not just the weekends. I would imagine within a week or 2 Disney will have finalized the schedules and will release them.
