Star Wars Celebration attendees, what is your game plan?

4/15 ~ all Disney day for us.
4/16 & 17 ~ SWC, and Disney.
4/18 ~ SWC
For the Celebration, do you have an itinerary, or are you just showing up, and checking it out?

I can only go to the SWC half a day on Saturday so I am just winging it for whatever is available when I get there that afternoon. I have never been to one before (nor anything similar) so I am just hoping we don't get swallowed up in the crowds. We'll also do a half day at DL on Sunday and then head home.

I'm going to be there all four days, along with my husband and two boys.

We don't have a set in stone itinerary, but there is one major panel each day we want to hit, anything else we're doing in a "we'll see how the day goes" kind of plan. Our boys are 3 and 4, so a lot will depend on how much they can handle. We'll be taking breaks for food and naps as needed, for the boys and for us, lol.

If you want to get a really great photo of as many characters as possible, be at the center at 2pm on the Saturday, the costuming legions will be doing their group photo at that time. No word on location yet, but it will have to be a large space.

A lot of the fun of conventions is just walking around and seeing what there is to see. So many cool costumes, so much amazing artwork, and all the people sharing a love for the same thing. This is my second Celebration, my fifth convention. I can't wait to get there.

our plan is Disney after we get in on 4/15
Celebration 4/16 & 4/18
Disney 4/17 & 4/19

this will be my 4th Celebration. outside of spending some time in the autograph hall, we are really just going to wing it this time as it will be my 2yo first Celebration and will pick things this time that he might enjoy (he is a big fan of the Rebels cartoon). it's our first trip ever to Disneyland so right now I am much more excited about that.
always expect the unexpected at Celebration. Celebration 6 in Orlando, I was waiting outside a stage door for the Seth Green panel and out walked George Lucas, who signed for everyone there waiting.

Will the celebration significantly increase crowded levels at the parks? Thanks!

Wednesday - Park Day

Thursday - SWC for the first half of the day (JJ Abrams! Ian McDiarmid! R2D2 Builders!), at least. Maybe some park time later.

Friday - SWC mostly (Ray Park! Carrie Fisher!), but the afternoon might include a park visit, with the 501st party that night.

Saturday - SWC, probably no park time.

Sunday - SWC for the first half of the day, with park time in the evening.

Monday - park time.

I will be in the parks on Thursday and Friday, doing the convention on Saturday, then back to the parks for Sunday morning (driving back home Sunday afternoon/evening).

This is our 3rd Celebration. My husband is an R2 Builder and we normally just hang out in the droid room, but this year we are exhibiting all 4 days. Planning a park day on the 20th for my birthday. Very excited to see our Star Wars family! It really is like coming home.

I'm a local and taking the day off from work to attend SWC on Friday (hoping it will be less crowded). I might head over to Disneyland at some point but nothing confirmed.

We'll be going to Celebration all four days, but with plenty of breaks and meals at Disneyland sprinkled throughout.

The R2 Builders are so cool! I've thought about doing that. It's so amazing to build your own droid!

I'm kind of winging it myself. I may go for 1/2 a day to the convention daily and spend the other half at DL. I know I want to try and see the JJ Abrams panel on Thursday morning and the Gareth Edwards panel on Sunday. I'm actually speaking on a panel on Saturday so I definitely will be at the convention center for that. :)

I did see you can get passes here: http://www.starwarscelebration.com/Show-Info/Travel/Disneyland-Ticket-Discounts/

Though I may end up getting an annual pass for DL since I will hopefully be in town in November for the Avengers 1/2 marathon weekend and January 2016 for the Star Wars 1/2 marathon weekend.

Very cool!
Ugh, I purchased our passes from Way.com not too long ago, dang it! You could always upgrade your park hopper to an AP, I'd be sure the discounted passes are upgradable though. What time do you plan to line up for Thursday morning?

We are NOT staying the whole night, but we're planning to get up very, very early to join the line. If we don't make it into the main hall, we'll be happy in one of the other rooms. (All our runDisney trips have been very good training!)
Wednesday *after an early flight* will be our only full Disney day, I'm wondering how early we'll wake Thursday.

Wednesday is our only full Dis day, too, but we're both early risers. We probably won't be out to late the night before.

Plus, naps are a possibility. I'm glad we're staying close.

I ended up splurging and getting an AP for Disneyland. I'll be back in November and January for the runDisney races so it made sense. I'll probably hit the parks for a little bit each day, but especially on Sunday and Monday.

I'll be landing on Thursday morning at 8:30am so I will probably miss JJ Abrams. This will be my 4th Celebration. Been to II-III-IV. I remember the all those long loops of lines just to see George Lucas but it was worth it. Didn't wait overnight for it though.

I fly out tomorrow am so I might get some time in at DL later tomorrow. Plan on spending most of the next 4 days at my 3rd Celebration. I do plan on trying to get out to DL in between sessions if I am able. I am moving to VGC on Sunday, and staying until Wednesday. Meeting a cousin who lives in Chino and has an ap on Monday.
