Disney Bounding

Has anyone ever done this? It's when you dress as a contemporary version of a character. My 11 year old DD wants to dress up but doesn't want to look too 'princessy'. She would like a version of the Little Mermaid 'Kiss the Girl' dress. Does anyone know where I could get a pattern? Either that, or I am thinking about a green skater skirt, purple crop top and red Ariel iron-on silhouette.

Any thoughts/advice/experience? :)

found this page, hope it helps a bit

Thanks, I have been looking at Pinterest and there are some nice/subtle outfits on there. DD is going to BBB so she wants to be dressed up but blanched when I bought her a Disney Store Tinkerbell dress lol. The youngest has already opted for Rapunzel and has the dress, so she's sorted.

Hi, we have been looking at this and it looks like you can have great fun with it -
- my 11 year old is doing Cinderella ( pale blue tops with white denim shorts) just any accessories to sort

Also ariel, pale purple top and green bottoms and have a white bag with a picture of Sebastian on it

My youngest is also keen to it and has bought a yellow dress to wear for BOG

I really like the idea and I'm going to be trawling the internet looking for ideas :)

@joolz1910 , there is a super cute fork necklace which would set off an Ariel Disney bound outfit perfectly. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Retro-Kit...fun-fashion-jewellery-UK-seller-/261193116681 It would look absolutely fab with the skater skirt combo you have described!

Your thread got my DD1 (almost 10) looking at Disney Bounding and she loves it! But, bless her, she's said she wants to have one last year as a Princess this year! I am quite pleased actually!

I did buy both girls a Minnie mouse type spotty skirt and gloves from Asda - they are going to wear one day with a black vest and Minnie ears - probably our only venture into Disney Bounding this trip!

It's awful when they grow up .

I want my kids to be kids when they are in Disney. I will lead the way with character clothing and Minnie ears lol.

Me too Joolz - I'll be there with my character clothing! I'm the same in DLP too!

I need another trip to Primark soon to stock up on more t-shirts I think! :rolleyes1

I was planning a Primark trip soon for the exact same reason lol. I have the villains t. shirt and the Hogwarts one. I bought light-up Minnie ears last time, so I will be taking those with me.
