Deed Recorded!

Finally, deed recorded on day 64 since accepted offer! Now on the last leg of the process. Must admit, the excitement had started to wane a bit during this lengthy process but seeing our names on the Comptrollers site as the newly minted owners of our own little piece of OKW fired the excitement right back up! Can't wait to log into the owners site and plan our 1st trip "home"!
 
Congrats ...I completely understand your excitement waning ..Passed ROFR yesterday now another 30+ for us...hope the excitement comes soon
 
Congrats!! Ours didn't take quite that long, but it seemed like forever! It took another week to 10 days to get the account info. Once you get that, you can call DVC and they can give you the rest of the info so you can see your stuff on-line and book stuff. At that point, you can do it over the phone - but I like doing it on-line.

I'm curious - how long after closing did you see it show up on the comptroller site?
 


Yep. In the dropdown box you can chose Exact Match or Wildcard search, I used Wildcard. Not sure it makes a difference but you might try. Hope it shows up soon for you!

Thanks, I've tried everything. I guess it's just not there yet. :(

That stage will depend on the seller more than anything. The seller might have to get their paperwork notarized and even May need to send in a certified check to pay off any outstanding loan. You should really close withing two days after everything is returned.

How long did it take before you saw your deed on the OCC site? We have been watching since last Thursday to no avail. This part of the process is making us crazy because we are hoping to book a last minute trip in late May.

We closed on 3/6 and the deed showed up on the site on 3/12. After that, I waited 7 days and started calling Member Accounting. I did not get our member number over the phone until 3/24. I got the codes to be able to log into the DVC site on 3/25. Just yesterday 3/30, I got the member number via snail mail.

Thanks! That is really good information. It is frustrating to see deeds posting on the OCC site the day after closing, and ours still isn't there. Glad everything finally came through for you. I hope it won't take that long for us.

Waiting is tough especially when you are so close! I am a very impatient person and this whole process was killing me! Good luck!

You might try some different search terms, or try searching based on the legal description with the unit number.
 
Looks like our broker got ahead of himself. The title company sent an email this afternoon saying closing was today and documents were sent to be recorded. Not sure what caused the mix-up, but we begin again... Will start looking on OCC website tomorrow. Fingers crossed that things go quickly now.
