Fast Pass truth

I thought i read or heard on Disunplugged that the two parks fast pass is not connected...
so you could actually get a fast pass for RSR and then move over to DL and get a fast pass for fantasmic all within the same time .
Is this true ??

Fantasmic is not connected to any rides at DL anyway. You can get other fast passes even after having a Fantasmic one. Same with World Of Color

None of the shows or meet and greet "fast passes" are connected and affect your ability to pull a fast pass for a ride. So you could go get a fast pass for F!, then go right away and get a FP for Indy...then walk wight over to DCA and get a FP for RSR, then go get a a FP for WOC. Your next FP for another ride in each park would be available in two hours (or the return time of your ride if sooner than 2 hours)

This is an awful lot of criss-crossing just for FP's. I'd go to DCA first to get the FP's, then head to DL, since you probably won't need to be back to RSR until later in the day.

Just for clarification, I think the Frozen Sing-Along show is connected to the rest of the FP system in DCA. At least there have been reports indicated that guests were not able to get that plus another FP right away. I know some folks think of this as an attraction and others think of it as a show.

I haven't tried this, so I don't know for sure. But I think that a park ticket is only able to pull a FastPass if it has been used to enter that specific park. So each individual guest would have had to have entered the park where the FastPass kiosk is located at least once that day. That may also be something to consider if your plans involve just one runner park-hopping to the other park to pick up FastPasses using the tickets for everyone in your party.

As far as I know, as long as you've entered one park, you can pull FPs in either park. I know that in the past (I last tried this in November), my family would go into DL and then I'd collect the FPs and hop over to DCA to get RSR and/or WoC FPs and it wasn't a problem that their tickets hadn't been used to enter DCA that day.

This has been my experience as well.

Yep, this is correct. Everyone with a ticket has to enter one of the parks, then one person can take all the tickets to the other park and pull a FP for everyone.

Has anyone tried this recently? I always thought you all had to personally enter said park.

We did it as recently as the first week of March, no problem.

We visit about once/month on average, and our typical routine is that everyone enters DL, one person hops back to DCA to get RSR fast passes, then the runner grabs some Space fp's on the way back in to DL. We do it all the time.

Don't know if it's still true, but once upon a time, Roger Rabbit's Cartoon Spin wasn't linked to the rest of the DL FP system either. Not that I think you want to run back there & get that FP 1st thing in the morning, on top of all the others. But, it seemed worth noting.

Sadly, Roger Rabbit is now connected.

I'm getting to old for this running! Good think my almost 14 year old knows his way around the park. What will we do when he grows up? We'll have to hire a runner to tour the parks with us! LOL!

The problem comes when your FPs come up at a time when you have to be somewhere else! Boy, I really miss the days when the FPs were valid all day after their opening window time. Last week I pulled several that I couldn't use because of meal reservations or shows.
