Hi everyone!!!

My best friend and I will be staying at the Tropicana from Sept 11 - Sept 20. I'm looking for any tips, pro's, con's or advice in general on the best days two days to do Disneyland and DCA?
Also any info at all on weather, crowd levels or anything else we should know!!! So excited, can't wait for our trip to start!!!
Thanks in advance :-)

At that time of year you will have shorter hours Monday to Thursday. So for longer hours and the opportunity to see the evening entertainment I suggest you opt for a Friday, Saturday or Sunday night especially if you are only going there for 2 days! Fantasmic and Fireworks will only be on the Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights also but World of Colour should be on nightly. I was there in September last year we arrived on the 10th and from memory the Haunted Mansion re-opens with its Halloween overlay usually on the Friday of that week, for us that was the 12th - that can big a bigger crowd with the locals coming out to see it that evening and over the weekend. But we still went on that day it was fine.

Weather wise - it can be the hottest time of the year! When we were there last year they were getting some record temperatures - get a water spray fan (best $20ish I spent at DL), mix up your rides/shows with the air-conditioned ones (e.g. Star Tours and Aladdin musical) as well as the ones where you get wet e.g. Splash Mountain and Grizzly River Run. Eat ice cream for lunch and drink lots of water! Make use of your hotel pool.

The Tropicana is nice and close so get up early and be there for rope drop then go go go each day.

Hope you have a great time :)

Thanks so much for the info 4Mickeys!!!

I really appreciate your insight, really looking forward to it!!! :-)

Just FYI, fall Dapper Day is the 18th, so if you wanted to stay onsite for not much more money, you could.

My best friends and I will be there around that time too! We're leaning towards doing the 14th to the 17th but might do the week before. I always like to go in the off season and during the week when I can. Like @4Mickeys said they close a little earlier but the lines are SO much shorter that to me it's worth it. It's definitely a trade off.
