Matterhorn refurb

I don't believe that because disney would have never built something like that

The Matterhorn was the first steel roller coaster built. Disney invented a great roller coaster. I still don't know if its true about the Matterhorn's infrastructure, but Disney has indeed done it since. Read up on Expedition Everest and you'll see what I mean.

The lack of padding in the new sleds is a common complaint. :sad1:
 Maybe an adult size inflatable cushion..

They sell ponchos to wear on the water rides....
Maybe they can start selling Bob Sled Cushions.

Here's one from eBay for $6.99

Too funny man! :faint: lol

Geemo, that's hilarious! I would also add the rental of neck braces and a helmet. I always feel like my brain is rattling around in my skull.

Like maaan....who or what is Bob Sled? Can't say I have ever heard of him before now. Lol

;)

No......really man! ;)

Yes, however....if ye be seeking one of them peerty seats that doesn't have a hole in it, then buy the other cushion that is on ebay for $9.99 plus tax, shipping, handling and insurance.

The Matterhorn is my favorite and, yes, it's a bumpy ride! Being an average-sized person, I don't have the opinion the new bob sleds are any better or worse than the old ones, but I can definitely see how anyone taller or larger than me would think the new ones are awful. There's no give, no way, no how! When my husband sits behind me on the ride, he's always laughing at me, saying it throws me around like a rag doll, lol. I still love it.

Just curious, how tall are you?
I am 5 ft 8 in. tall, and my legs just fit in the revamped sleds. It's awkward to say the least. I have seen people who are taller, just barely deal with those new sleds. :faint:
Bring back the old sleds please.

My DH and I also have fond memories of it, but our son will still ride it. Love that single rider line! As for Gisele"s question about the donkey on Pirates, we were just there on 3/19-3/20 and the donkey was still MIA!

I am 5'6".

Perhaps it's in the torso to leg ratio or something, but I'm also 5'6" and I feel like there's not enough space for my legs in there. Forget the hips. I'm average, but I have wider hips. Man, those seats were not made for anyone with curves. My husband is 6'1" and he still rides it, but he says it feels like a sardine can. His knees are up around his chin (maybe a slight exaggeration, but that's how he describes it).

I have really long legs for my height, actually, and yes, they are just barely in there comfortably, I would say. You could probably strap me in there upside down and I'd still declare it my favorite ride, lol.

Thank you for the update. He is but one donkey. Why can't he return yet? It isn't like we are talking an entire herd here that has run off or something. Ugh....
