My 4th Dis Diva Girls Trip was GREAT!! Completed 3/29

Oh man that sucks. They used to take you to the lobby of Club 33 then Walt's Apt. Do you know where they take you now? When we did it we did Club 33 and got to ride the Lilly Belle which I don't think is part of it anymore either. If they don't have that then I don't think we will need to repeat it. So bummed though cuz was really hoping to see that!

I have no idea but we had said something about doing the WiWF so we could see the apartment & he said that wasn't being done anymore. I don't know if Club 33 is still a part of it or not. I think when it got closer to your trip time, I'd ask on the Dis to see what is currently done with that tour. Ours was adjusted because of all the Grizzly Peak area being closed. This tour usually does Soarin' but that was closed so we did Toy Story Midway Mania instead.

Right now I believe that "Walk in Walt's Footsteps" takes you up into the dream suite. However when I went on the tour with my Mom and Meemaw this past October we did get to go into Walt's apt because the president of Disneyland and his family were staying in the dream suite. So you never know.. Pixie dust does occasionally happen.

Oh that's right, our guide did mention that. I miss the Disney Gallery being above the POTC. We did the dessert seating for Fantasmic on the balcony in 2005. Room for about 20 people. Very nice & awesome view!

After our lunch with the tour, we made a mad dash across to Disneyland and to the castle for our group picture.

It's a tradition to have the mom & daughter combos to have a separate shot done.

These are from a phone & I will have Photopass Pictures to share later on. Gotta love the Photopass Photographer selfies!!!!

We all made our way over to Small World to take a group ride. We had thought about doing another group picture because our new shirts were Small World inspired, but as you will see, they had quite a bit of the façade tarped. I did find the netting tarp over the greenery to be interesting.

Thanks to Karissa for letting me photobomb their selfie shot (this would be her picture).

A few more as we waited in line.

More of our group ride at Small World. Boats loaded with lovely Diva's.

We were one of the last groups on & Bernice had this picture of our boat of Divas.

Selfie!!

As we travelled through It's A Small World........

After the ride, Diva's broke off into their smaller groups and headed to different things. I wasn't really interested in riding anything & was going to head back to the motel. Michelle decided she wanted to catch up with the groups headed to DCA, so she went on her way & I made quick stop at the castle to take this picture.

I made my "final" shopping stop at the Emporium before going back to my motel. I rested a bit & then showered and got ready for the 4:30 group dinner at Carthay Circle.

After I got ready, I took this to send to Mike.

I headed back over to Disney's California Adventure and made my way towards Carthay Circle. When I got there, Five-n-Dime was performing.

The Diva's started gathering for our dinner.

We were escorted inside and upstairs to the restaurant. We were put into the Hollywood room where we were all able to be together even if seated at different tables. (no other guests were in this room). This was the table & menu.

Tables of beautiful Diva's.

Our table: I was seated with Patty, Monica, Jane, Jill & Jen. We re-did our table picture because Jen was running a little late & I wanted to make sure we had everyone in our picture!

I started with a nice cold beer.

Jen was dressed for Dapper Days and looked amazing!!

A few more photos of our room & the Diva's enjoying each other's company.

My dinner was the Garden Vegetable Risotto~with peas, portabello mushrooms, braised radish & spinach. It was delicious!!

What a wonderful, delicious meal.....and the company was even better! While we were paying our bills, Michelle joined us. Monica, Michelle & I decided to head to Disneyland, but made a stop to do some Photopass Pictures (which I will share later).

We stopped in the entry to take a couple pictures....unfortunately, no Photopass photographers.

We went towards Indy and did the Single Rider line. I found it interesting that there is still a bit of a loop hole with this. If you get the Single Rider pass and go through the way to send you, eventually you join back into the regular line to go up the stairs (which is right before you go down on the other side to the loading platform). Long story short, the three of us rode together. (this is something they need to fix though.........)

After our ride, I wandered the gift shops in Adventureland as the other ladies took a small "break". We met back up & headed to BTMRR. Standby was about 20 minutes. Love this ride.....especially at night!! Next we made our way through Fantasyland and rode the Teacups.

Mine, Mine, Mine.......

I've never done the Finding Nemo Subs because of my claustrophobia (and not interested in waiting in long lines) so Michelle suggested we do it at the viewing room which is used for people that can't get inside of the subs.

We came out of the little room and it had started to sprinkle lightly. Michelle & Monica wanted to go back over to DCA & ride Toy Story Midway Mania, so as they headed that direction, I said goodnight & headed back to the motel. I stopped to watch a minute or so of the fireworks from the bus area. Later I found out that a firework had caused a small fire at Small World. It was a hot Twitter, Facebook, Instagram & even local news story. I got back to my room and packed up so I wouldn't be rushed in the morning.

I love these t-shirts too, the colors are so vibrant! It looks like you all are having such a nice time. We haven't eaten at Carthay Circle yet, we hope to one of these trips.

I wanted to say that I drove through Philomath last Thursday. We were headed to the beach. Loved the feel of the town, very cute.

It's good but spendy. They also offer a World of Color meal to have a nicer viewing area.

Philomath is definitely a small town with very nice people & super happy with our schools!!

Sunday, March 1: Up early to walk over to the Paradise Pier Hotel for the Goodbye Breakfast at Surf's Up with Mickey. Our reservation was for 7:40. We had a large group this morning.

We went in to do our group photo with Mickey. Once again, these were captured on a phone & our Photopass Photographer graced us with a group selfie!!

I went to get a hug from Mickey before heading to the buffet & Trudi happened to be right there to get these pictures.

Back to my seat and the characters were making their rounds. Here's Lisa with her favorite character~~Stitch.

I was able to get a picture of Trudi with Stitch and then she returned the favor and took a picture of me playing with Stitch.

A lot of the Diva's did the selfie approach to get their pictures done with the characters.

Here I am with Minnie.

Today, the buffet was kinda blah, so I asked the waiter if I could get a gluten free waffle. He went to put the order in with the chef.

Next up was Daisy and then Pluto.

They were bringing out the bills to each table and figuring out the price for each of us and I realized, I had never received my waffle, so I inquired with the waiter who looked shocked that I still hadn't received it. He went back to the chef and found out that my waffle had been delivered to the wrong table. So they were getting another ASAP. We were still all sitting at the table & figuring out the money when I finally got my Mickey GF waffle. I was able to sit & enjoy it without feeling rushed to leave. We started the sad goodbyes and then I headed back towards the motel. Michelle had texted to see if I needed a ride, but I didn't check my phone until I was almost back to the room. We gathered our stuff & checked out. Michelle had missed the first trip to Company D and I didn't have anything to do until 3pm, so I went back for my 2nd trip. There was a bunch of new stuff since Wednesday & so I actually came out of the store with more purchases! Thanks for the group picture Trudi!

It had started to rain and Michelle was wanting to head to DTD to do lunch at Earl of Sandwich with some of the Divas. I wasn't interested and so I had her drop me off at the motel and I would just do some reading in the lobby. As I sat there, I watch droves & droves of people coming back from the parks soaking wet. It was pouring! About 1:30, I went to iHop to get a little lunch. I went back to the lobby when I got an email telling me that my flight out of the OC was delayed about an hour+ which would make me late for my connecting flight in San Jose. I got a little panicky since I've never had that happen before. At 2:45, my Super Shuttle showed up (20 mins early). I was his first stop. An hour later & 2 stops, I got to the airport. At the 2nd stop, I received a phone call from SW telling me to stop by their desk so they could put me on a different flight and then connect in Sacramento. So I'm now on a 5:40 flight and I went thru security (having quite a bit of anxiety due to all the changes) and the TSA workers were very nice. They suggested I talk to the SW agent and request a medical pre-loading pass). I had paid for early check-in and now was in the last of the B seating & C seating on the 2 flights. They could tell I was nearing a panic attack. I checked the board for my gate # and headed down towards it. There were people sitting there but no SW agents. After about an hour I was thinking someone should be there, but no one. A little later, here comes Lisa, who wasn't on the same flight as me (I had checked at breakfast to see if we were by chance). She said "I didn't think we were on the same flight". I told her mine had been changed and we checked our flight #'s. me and she said, "You're not at the right gate". So I went back to the main board and sure enough, my gate # had changed! Luckily that flight was delayed a bit too, otherwise I may have missed my opportunity to preload. I have to be either in a window seat or the first row (claustrophobia). We started lining up shortly after I arrived at the new gate. I got on and was in the 3rd row, window seat. Here's me saying bye bye to the OC.

I ended up with a very long legged business man (who smelled of alcohol, kinda like my dad used to) who had my legs pushed into the wall the whole trip to Sac. The weather was rough and with my nerves shot......I spent half the trip with my head down crying. I was scared to death. Of course it doesn't help when one of the passengers asks loudly if they got the mechanical issued fixed which was what caused the delay. We got into Sacramento, I went to the new gate, spoke with the agent about the medical preload pass and then waited until it was time to load. I was able to get the front row this time which felt great to stretch out my legs after the hour long twisted on my hips trip I just got done with. This flight had been delayed as well and originally I was supposed to get into Portland at 9:25 and now I wasn't going to get in until 11:10. We would still have a 2 hour trip home after I got in. This trip, across the aisle, there was a big discussion about religion and if the plane were to crash, we would all be accepted at the pearly gates. I thought to myself.....are you kidding me....can't people just not discuss dying and plane problems within ear shot of me!!! AWKKKKKKKK, I was so ready to be home and far, far away from planes & airports!

We got into Portland close to 11pm , I headed down to retrieve my luggage & let Mike know it was time to pic me up. I was so happy to see him and be headed home & to bed. I was exhausted! It was a great trip but I told Mike that this would be the last trip I did alone! If I had been with someone during the flights, I would have done much better.

Finishing up with the Photopass Pictures.

On arrival day (Wednesday), we did a group picture at the entry to CarsLand (from the Pacific Wharf side).

On Thursday, I stopped at the Partner's Statue.

The group picture today was also at the Partner's Statue.

On Friday, I posed with Walt & Mickey on Buena Vista Street.

Had the opportunity to do a few fun poses with Trudi at the WoC/Paradise Pier viewing area.

Before the scavenger hunt, we did our group picture.

We had some late comers and took the picture again.

After the hunt, the six of us headed to CarsLand to ride RSR, but got to stop for a few pics first. (Jen, Michelle, Me, Sarah, Chris & Trudi)

Radiator Springs Racers!!

On Saturday, our tour group asked if we could stop to do a photo.

We got to ride RSR's as part of the tour.

Had my picture done in front of the castle while we waited for everyone to show up.

Michelle joined me for a couple pictures.

The castle group picture.

After the Carthay Circle group dinner, Monica, Michelle & I did a few pictures in DCA before heading over the Disneyland.

Frozen pictures!

Sunday morning & our goodbye breakfast at Surf's Up.

Oh, I'm so sorry to hear about your flights. Flying is so stressful. I'm glad your second flight worked out so much better.

The Photopass shots are great! It sounds as if the trip was quite fun!

The 2nd flight was smoother....it would have been fine if the 3 beside me would have shut up about crashing & dying & meeting God. By then, my nerves were shot and I just wanted to be on the ground!!

The trip was a lot of fun but next time, I'll be taking hubby along to spend the off time with. He also makes a great travel companion. lol
