....yes, and it shouldn't be too noisy...2. From what I understand reading here I will be on the 5th floor and with either a pool or reclassified (obstructed) savannah view. Is that correct? And will a pool view be noisy at night on the 5th floor?
Kudu & Zebra are on the Arusha Savanna, & thus will be a studio Savannah view... The possible partial savanna view that u may get will be on the Sunset or the Uzima Savannah, I believe... I actually had a Value studio #5014 which was a pool view..I thought it was the perfect location... Here's a link to check things out. http://www.parkinfo2go.com/dvc-akv/floor5.phpHi again! More questions... When I look at my room request options during online check in if offers me the following: Upper floor, Lower floor, Near elevator, Near lobby, Arusha savanna view, and Kudu Trail View. I don't think the floor options pertain to me because I have a Standard Studio so I'll be on the 5th floor.
Now, based on my prior questions, it seems as though I will have either a pool view or an obstructed savanna view.
If I don't want to have the pool view, should I request Kudu trail and Arusha view?
And is there a reason I don't have an option for Zebra trail?
Anyone have input on Zebra vs Kudu?
Thanks!!!
Those sound like the choices I had last Jan. and I had savanna view. Zebra trail is right above the pool and the CS restaurant Mara - so slightly less hiking across the lobby to go to the pool/quick food on Zebra trail. If you choose Kudu trail and you get it you'll have to be over a savanna - maybe not the best savanna view and maybe one of those rooms at the very end of the hall. If you still have 2 choices I'd chose near elevator (which is about 1/3 of the way down the trails) and Kudu trail to up my chances of being on a savanna (sunset.) BUT seeing animals while sipping my am coffee on my balcony is worth a bit of a hike for me - others have other priorities. Thanks, DizDaD7 - I've been using that site and it's very helpful! Let me rephrase my questions...
I'm wondering why I was given the option of Arusha savanna view if I have a standard studio reserved.
Also, why was I given the option of Kudu trail but not Zebra trail? Is it simply because the computer can only give so many options? Or is there another reason I'm not aware of?
Can people tell me why the prefer Kudu over Zebra or vice versa? I know it's personal preference, but I'm curious as to people's opinions since I've never been to AKL.
Thanks again!!

Yes, it takes about 10-15 minutes to walk between Jambo & Kidani.
Know also that all park buses stop at Kidani first and then stop at Jambo. DTD buses stop at Jambo first and then at Kidani, so you can ride the bus between the two as well if that is easier w/ the wheelchair than a shuttle van.
....just be warned: the parking lot is fairly large and if you wind up parking in the farthest corner, it is a bit of a hike...We have a rental car, so we would want to be whatever view is the best cause I assume we will park in normal areas? which means right out the front door to get to our car, yes?
Yeppers, What she said........just be warned: the parking lot is fairly large and if you wind up parking in the farthest corner, it is a bit of a hike...

you talking Kidani, or Jambo....Kidani seems to be a lot easier to get to because it's undeerground, and very close to the elevators......especially if you don't get into the parking lot at certain times of the evening!
