18 Wonderful nights at RPR.....Michael Myers too!! (2014 Trip)

Absolutely delightful,Schumigirl! Your reports are so detailed and entertaining that it makes me feel like we're back at RPR and US/IOA! We love them just as much as you do! Thanks again for your report.:goodvibes

Oh you're very welcome............that's a lovely thing to say.........I wish I could have posted the thousand or so other pics we took as both the parks and hotel look so amazing in them!! Yep, wonderful place.

I'm delighted you enjoyed reading along and thanks again.........:goodvibes

I kept up with your trip report, but I'm terrible about commenting. I enjoyed every post. I'm a PBH lover, but you have me really tempted to try RPH. Thanks so much for sharing with us. I'm happy to hear you have another nice, long trip planned!

Oh I'm so glad you enjoyed reading along..........I hope you enjoy RP as much as PB if you do decide to try it there......very different but both lovely so I'm sure you will.

Thank you for the lovely comments cocofifi :wave2:

Thank you so much for your amazing report. The pictures are so helpful, we've never been to UO. Going Feb 2015

Your son and his adventurous palate just makes me laugh. Chocolate cake everyday? Wow

I have some questions about concierge level at RP hotel. Is it worth the extra $100 per night?

Thanks again

As for CL being worth the extra? Well, that's subjective really.........we used it for breakfast and a glass or two of wine before we went out for dinner. The lounge is a lovely place and staff are the best.

We prefer to eat out and about at all sorts of places for dinner and therefore didn't ever use the lounge for main meals as most seem to. We occasionally had some salad or crackers and cheese, but that was about it.

If you are going to spend a lot of time in the resort and there are more than two or three of you then you may feel you get your monies worth, but again it's a personal thing.

Again, thanks for the nice comments glad you enjoyed reading and hope you have a wonderful time at UO :thumbsup2

Hi Schumigirl,

I really enjoyed reading your past trip reports. Great pictures! Your excellent review of the RPR - club level - convinced my dh and myself to give it a try this March. We usually stay at the HRH - club but are excited to give this resort a try. No kids with us - they are both in University so this will be uncharted territory!!!!! Lots of free time. Lol

Thanks again for all the great tips!

Oh I hope you enjoy it, I really do. The staff in the CLub Lounge helped make it so lovely too. They are wonderful.

No kids will be different for you too.......this year we may be the same due to University for our DS.......it will be strange if that happens I think.

Thank you for the lovely comments and I'm so glad you enjoyed the report......make sure you tell us how you enjoyed it when you go :goodvibes

Had to stop by and let you know...I loved Royal Pacific Resort over than being at the very far end of Tower 2. It would have been closer to the parks to have slept in a sleeping bag in the Lobby than walking to our room!!

The parks were wonderful too. I have started a Trip report. I'll have to get a link in my signature.

Oh it is so good to hear you loved RPR...........and the parks.....they are so much fun. I'm glad you came back to say you enjoyed it.

Will look forward to reading your trippie :thumbsup2

I have started a trippie on the Reports forum for Disney world. Come on over and visit. The first part is Universal. I have my first day posted so far.

Excellent!!

I will pop over and have a read.......I would never have found it as I very rarely read the Disney side of the boards, so cheers for the heads up :)

I am so glad that you came over. Before considering Universal I had never come over to this side of the Boards. So glad I did. I enjoy meeting new people and meeting people from other places and cultures. Helps me to widen my world view when I encounter others. I have so enjoyed reading your trip reports. It is also fun to have DIS meets with people that I would have never met otherwise.

Hi Schumigirl

I found your reports as we did a Disney vacation last September and are doing Universal this year. I know I am posting quite late but I read both your trip reports as I couldn't put them down. They read like a novel and I can't express how much I enjoyed them. I will definitely be looking next year.

I think it's awesome that Kyle loves vacationing with you guys. I hope my kids are the same way when they get that age. I think it's really nice that you have built such a good bond with the people at the hotel and the restaurants you frequent. I have got lots of good meal ideas from your report.

We arrive this year on September 25th and are leaving October 9th. If I see you guys I will come introduce myself. Hopefully Tom won't think I am to weird....lol.

Thanks again for the great read. I enjoyed it so much

Oh my goodness.....thank you so much! I appreciate the comments.......doesn't matter if it's late or not.......I always accept compliments.......:D

You absolutely have to say hi if you see us.......no Tom won't think you're weird at all.....he's kinda used to me going up and asking people if they are someone I think I may know from these boards or others!! And we have met so many lovely people off of these boards in real life now he's very used to meeting people I have gotten to know online.

Kyle won't be with us this year which I am so sad about. So it'll be a different type of trip......but will be nice just the two of us for the first time.

But thank you again, that was so nice of you to say.........glad you enjoyed reading them.......:wave2:

Hi Carole

I just realized that I never told you how much I enjoyed your latest report...great job as usual:thumbsup2

If you miss Kyle too much during your trip I can loan Trey out for a day when we're there...if you feed him he will come

Seriously I can't wait till we're at HHN again...good times will be had by all.party:

Your TR has been so helpful in allowing me to 'unplan' our coming up Orlando trip. The first week is the dreaded Disney (I really do love it, but the planning is ridiculous!) and the second week will be at RPR (the vacation part of the vacation).
In my planning I am trying to get through a park day using only a fanny pack which I notice you used with your family. My concern is the soaking water rides. How do you handle the wet shoes without bringing a pair of sandals in? Do you have a special trick to avoid the sloshing afterwards? With all the walking at the parks I really do not want to my DD (10 yrs) to be uncomfortable. I really really really do not want to have to lug a backpack just for spare shoes!
Thank you Schumi!

I'm so glad you enjoyed the trip report.....thank you..........

On the days we do water rides we usually all wear flip flops. On Bluto there is a bit to put your shoes in with a waterproof cover but we've never used it. Once we have been soaked enough we head back to the RP and get showered and changed and head off to do whatever

We don't do water rides every time, if we have tennis shoes on we don't go on Ripsaw Falls or Bluto. We do go on Jurassic Park though as your feet don't usually get soaked.......clothes can, depending on how the boat is loaded and where you are sitting.

I hope you have a blast at Universal.......we truly love never having to plan anything when we are there and I'm sure you'll find it very relaxing and a lot of fun too..........

Thank you again for the nice comments :wave2:
