Bounce Back question

We are planning a trip this summer (July) and we are also in the VERY beginning stages of planning a trip next summer (2016). We are hoping for a bounce back offer. What does the summer BB usually look like? Discount? Free Dining? Just trying to think ahead a bit.

Thanks!

We've booked BB the past two years at the end of August. The first year was room only discount (30% for deluxe, and down from there), last year was free dining for select dates. In both cases, we booked for almost exactly 1 year out, which is not always an option. I think during peak times, when there is a BB offer, it's usually for the same year. Someone will correct me if I'm wrong ;-)

I booked bb last year in November and the offer was a room discount for dates sporadically across all of 2015, mostly just the busiest times blacked out - 35% deluxe, 30% moderate, and 20-25% values. But about a week or so before we arrived, the bb offer was free dining for select dates Aug-Dec. Not sure when that offer started though, sorry!

For July it will likely be a room discount for the rest of 2015, so it won't help with 2016.

With BB offers, and I get that they vary, do you just book something and can it be adjusted ? Guessing that would mean that you don't get the offer anymore...but not sure if the dates I'd pick while in my Disney state of mind --AT WDW-- would be the right ones! ;)

Does the BB have to be for the same party size/number of rooms? Taking a big family trip this time and might not go that route next time.

Also, we're going this Nov, and planning to do the W&D 1/2 in 2016...would that ever possibly be a thing to aim for, or would that probably be in blackout dates?

Thanks for everyone's input and speculations! :)

You could change it within the dates of the original offer, pending availability.

It's not for any certain set up. You can only book one room for each adult on the current reservation though. You couldn't book for people not there.

Probably blacked out for the marathon, but there should be sports package discounts you can book through the marathon during that time.

I just returned from ASMu (April 2015), tried to do a BB for Aug 2015 for CBR or CSR.
First, the front desk wasn't helpful. The CP (not CM) didn't know anything about a BB. The Front desk (via the CP) asked if I had a card in my room. I told them no, but I know about the BB offer. Waited for 20 minutes only to be told there is a 30 wait with reservations.
I went back to my room and called the BB number - helpful (5 minute wait not 30)- but there wasn't any good offers. The cost was higher than hotels.com or orbitz. CBR on pirate rooms for $200+ and CSR was the same price as the travel sites.
I assumed all of the blocked BB rooms were already taken.
