tron 2 is already a movie the new one that has been announced is Tron 3. If you scrolled down through the threads you would find threads regarding new movies coming out.

Tron: Legacy was the second movie, think the third will be based on the cartoon series Uprising.

Seems unlikely since uprising didn't get a season 2. Best bet is that it'll sprout from the Cillian Murphy seed in Legacy.

I wondered why Cillian Murphy had such a small role in Legacy.

I don't want anymore Tron. I loved the original (as a kid). It's hard to watch the (at the time) cutting edge computer effects in this modern day of "perfection" and the story is slower than I remember. The sequel was okay, but lacked the magic of the original imo.
