Pre-park CP ADR frustration

In the past we've never had a problem getting a prepark ADR for Crystal Palace. My 180 window is opening up this week, and I've been trying to make an ADR in the 8:00 hour with no luck. Today I tried at 6:00 a.m. on the dot and the earliest time available is 9:25. What in the world? I thought our Sept. trip was going to lower crowd, but this has me worried.

Any tips?

Thank you.

A pre-park CP ADR has been a hot ticket ever since Anna and Elsa moved to Princess Fairytale Hall. It's a way for people to get ahead of the RD crowd in order to get in line for the M&G. The only advice I have is to keep checking as they do open up.

I understand completely. I have been checking daily to see what times are available and there isn't an 8:00 adr available at CP or TH. My 180 day window is a couple weeks away still, but it's looking like it will be though to get either of these places at the time I want.
Just keep checking and Good Luck!

We live close and go monthly, I have had a lot of luck booking ADRs like this or BOG dinner with only a day or two notice. Many people cancel right before the date to avoid the no show fee. I would keep checking.

Ah, Ana and Elsa! That makes sense. I have two boys, so the princesses are not on my radar. We are so flexible with ADRs and often make plans on the fly with just a few hours notice. The only places that are must dos for us are Ohana and Crystal Palace. So I will continue to check.

Thanks for the advice!

I had no trouble getting an 8:05 for CP and 8:00 for TH on back to back days on my 180. Going in August (1st week). Try not searching breakfast, but start your search with 6:30 AM. I was getting 9:25 consistently until I tried not checking for a meal period and started my search at a particular time. Found the times I wanted on most ADR's for my trip. Good Luck....

Same thing happened to me. The earliest I could get CP on 9/22 was 9:15am. I also figured it would be fairly easy to get a before park open time slot.

I have been randomly checking reservations in the past few months (because I am out of my mind) and I have seen that September reservations seem to be going faster than any month prior to that. I imagine it is the anticipation of free dining so people are booking table service meals every day, rather than just booking a few special meals. We have September reservations and I was up at 6 am for 180 + 5. All I could get was an 8:20 at CP. I think that as we get closer to September quite a few things will open up, especially if free dining is more limited this year (last year they added POR to the list of resorts that did not get FD - who knows how many, if any, resorts will be FD eligible this year).

Thanks for the replies. The anticipation of free dining makes sense. I booked a September trip last year and had no problems getting an 8:00 ADR for CP so this has surprised me. Turns out, I had to cancel that trip.

I will keep checking!!

Our 180 is this Saturday and our must do every time is a pre park opening ADR for CP. Fingers crossed we get it. :thumbsup2
