Restaurant recommendations in Kissimmee area...

Hi All,
We're traveling to Florida next month and staying offsite for the first time as a family. I'd love to hear any recommendations of off property dining, especially non-chain restaurants! We're renting a house in Rolling Hills estates in Kissimmee so places convenient to that location would be great. Thanks DIS friends

We love eating at Sweet Tomatoes when we visit Florida. It is a chain but isn't available in most states. Sign up for Club Veg and they'll send you lots of coupons weekly.

You may want to try The Celebration Town Tavern, great food and family atmosphere.

You will have a vast range of eating places within 1 to 4 miles of Rolling Hills.

Go out the gate .. Turn Right And straight on to join Hwy 192

Turn Right and there are eating places BUT Turn Left and the choice is yours

Golden Corral, Cracker Barrell etc And further on Millers Ale House , Longhorn , Olive Garden & Logans

If none of those take your fancy then there has to be a McDonalds ........ but there has to be some place for you.

Most places are chains; but they are chains that we don't have at home, so it's still a treat for us: Maggiano's (little bit of a drive, but our kids absolutely love this place!), Don Pablo's, Tony Roma's, Miller's Ale House, Bahama Breeze, Chuy's, Fishbones, Copper Canyon, Landry's, Marlow's, Texas de Brazil, etc. We have family in Winter Park, so we're in Orlando quite often. Next week, we want to try Agave Azul's, Border Grill, Cafe TuTu Tango, Fat Fish Blue, and Hash House. Also, I cannot think of the name; but there's a Brazilian bakery I want to check out.

Hi! We are locals and only eat at non chains...our very favorites are: columbia, town tavern, and D'antonios ...all in Celebration. Have a great trip!

Most of my favs are chains we don't have locally as well. We LOVE breakfast at Perkins and Pizza at Uno are our must do places.

I'd love to try some of the non-chains you mentioned. Can you think of any others? One of my relatives mentioned an Ethiopian restaurant. Have you eaten there??
