Do you tip the person who brings your bags from Magical Express?

How much?

Do you tip the housekeepers?

When & how much?

you don't need to tip the bell hop who brings your bags from Magical Express - lots of time it will be delivery while you are at the parks.

housekeepers - depends upon you - I tip $1 a day per person

It is customary to tip housekeeping 1-2 dollars per person staying in your room, each and every day. We prepare envelops pre-inserted with tips for each day. Anyone handling your bags.... I tip 1-2 dollars per bag which is also pretty standard.

If you put the yellow tags on your luggage they will be delivered to your room. The tip is already included so you will not have to tip again.

If you bring your bags with you onto the DME bus, the driver will put them in the luggage compartment under the bus and give them back to you at your resort so it is customary to tip him.

Not sure you mean by the "tip is already included?"

If I'm in the room when the Magical Express bags show up, I tip a dollar per bag, rounding up to the nearest $5.00. It is the same Resort bellhops that deliver them if they are Magical Express bags or bags that you bring yourself, so I tip them the same.

I tip $5.00 for Housekeeping and Turn Down service as well. Tons of posts on this with people arguing one way or the other about this, just stating what it is my family does...

The people working the car entrance are not disney employees. Even though they are in Disney uniforms- they work for a third party. The people who deliver your bags to the room are disney employees. That now known- i give a smaller tip to the entrance attendant and another to the room guy.

It is typical to tip anyone who helps you with your luggage, but if you use the yellow tags for your luggage when utilizing the Magical Express this is the one time when no tip is expected when your luggage arrives in your room because that has already been factored into the service by Disney. Many people are not in their room when the luggage arrives from MCO, unlike any other time when you have to call and be waiting in your room. You can give an additional tip if you are in your room when the yellow tagged luggage arrives if you wish.

As most people are not in their rooms when their bags are delivered by ME, it is not a tipped position. If you read the info that comes with your ME instructions, it will explain. The ME bus driver, is a tipped position. There is a sign at the front of the bus that says something like tips are appreciated. Unlike most hotels, WDW does not expect you to tip housekeeping. (There has been a lot of arguing on these boards.) You can ask a resort manager during your stay. Many people, do, however leave a couple of dollars per day. Do what you feel comfortable.

we premake our maid service envelopes...put $2 per person in each one, with a little note of thanks! Then we assign the responsibility to one of our kids to place it out with a small bite sized candy bar. The kids love doing it, it teaches them alot and you cannot imagine how much it is appreciated and commented on by the staff!

I tip the ME driver (about $1 per carry-on bag under the bus). I've never seen the people who bring the bags from the airport, as those get delivered to the room while we're out, so we don't tip that person. If we use bell services to carry bags to/from our room, we tip them about $1 per bag. We tip the housekeeper $1 per person per night, so for us $5 each morning. I leave a handwritten thank you note with the tip.

Tipped positions at WDW include valet parking, bell services, food and beverage servers. Housekeeping is not a tipped position, but guests often will tip them anyway.

I tip housekeeping if my room is tidied in a timely manner. If I leave the room first thing in the morning, and I return at 4pm and the room isn't made up, the tip goes away. I put it right back in my pocket. I leave my room in very good condition...the beds are pretty much made, the vanity area is wiped down, towels are in the tub if I want replacement towels..so, it shouldn't be too hard to get my room taken care of before mid-afternoon.

I tip the DME driver 'if' he provides a better experience than just driving the bus...if he handles a bag for me, that would justify a tip. If he is entertaining and makes the ride a nicer experience, he gets tipped. But, if he asks for a tip in any fashion, then the tip money goes back in my pocket.

Valet services get a tip.

Bell Services, that brings bags to, or from, my room, get tipped at about $1-2 per bag.

Servers get tipped at about 20%...yes, even buffet servers. If I get less than good service, the tip goes down. Really terrific service and the tip goes up.

I tend to tip on the heavy sided. BUT...I refuse to tip just because it's 'expected'. The worker has to give me a reason to tip. I have had incredible service from Bell Services at BW in the past. They were given $3 per bag. On the other hand, if I call down for bags and it takes them a long time to get me my bags, the tip goes to perhaps $1 a bag or $3 for more than 3.
