Just wondering, does anyone else feel like you need a PHD in order to plan your Disney World vacation? I've been before but it's been about 7 years. Every time I sit down in front of my computer to try and make sense of Fast Pass, ADR's, and hotels, my anxiety levels go through the roof! I just want to hear I'm not alone!

I haven't gone since I was 12 -- 25 years ago..At first I felt that way...I was so overwhelmed and to make it worse no one in my family wanted/wants to help. My DH doesn't even want to talk Disney he said its too far away(August) I tried to explain to him you don't just show up anymore everything needs to be scheduled...I was so stressed out but, the longer I'm on the boards and soaking it all in the better I feel.. These boards and people are a great help.

Every time I feel that way, I take a step back and stop planning until it starts feeling like fun again :)

It's pretty daunting to be sure at first. But don't give up. As you get into it it gets easier and easier.

Since 7 Years ago easywdw.com has sprung up. Give it a try to help ease yourself back into it.

I think once I book something, it will get easier and easier. Since I'm holding out for free dining before booking, I feel like I'm in limbo. I haven't even fully decided what resort I want to stay at but yet my 180 mark will be here in just 2 weeks.

I understand what you mean. It does require some research. I think you can only plan so much and then you need to let go a little bit to enjoy it. I had a friend drive down to Florida with her family for the week. They did Magic twice, but had zero planning. They scheduled one of their Disney days on a party night and were shocked to have to leave the park early. They were also stressed out with driving to the parking lot, taking a tram to hitch the monorail. They had never been and it was a hard lesson to learn. They did not plan and it hurt them. I think it's great that you're so invested in making your trip amazing, just don't forget to have fun.
